I got mine today. It is a true race truck! Springs on the shocks, real differential, off road tires, the works! I can't wait to race in the stadium truck class!
But really, this thing is fun! Chasing all over the house today. I look forward to building my super back flip ramp out of a cerial box!

Ponch Wrote:Stock charger is iffy, I threw it on my peak charger and the pack lasted at least 2x as long and had much more power. Smile

How did you do that? What rate did you charge it?

I first used these plugs I have that just have pins on the ends, but your LHS should have a connector set, I think it was $4 so I plugged that into my charger and vuala, plug to plug connection.

I charge it from .5 where it gets med/warm, to .1 for a nice long charge. .5 takes about 15 minutes like the stock charger so I think it's about right.

Well I tried the peak charger at .5 amps (the lowest mine will go) and it got too hot, false peaked, and I stopped it. I will just use the factory one.

But the fuel tube preload spacers are awesome! That was the best idea! Now it rides and takes jumps much better, and even throws its little wheelies better too! Thanks!

Sorry about getting your battery hot, it works fine on mine and just gets warm.

But I'm happy you like the spacers!

I put the bearings in mine today. Luck was on my side because I didn't loose any of the wheels e-clips. The bearings or sure made a difference though. It doesn't just wheelie now.. it will flip over.

Damn that run s good with the lipo! I've been testing mine with 7.2v and 8.4v using 1/3 AAA 160mah cells rigged into it to be sure the electronics can handle it. I'm thinking 7.4v lipo is the way to go. we shall see... hehe.

I've been chanrging my stock battery pack and my 160mah pack on my Ice charger using .2A with a 3mv/c cutoff.

yea, lipo like the zzmt guys use and such. heli guys all the small scale guys use tiny little cells with a whole lotta punch. really cheap too. just the charger is expensive if you dont already have it.

I have a q- that 3 mv/c, I have mine set at 5. what exactaly does that do? I never understood it.

I hit a couple of the walls but nothing else lol... I decided about jumping up/over stuff... I've just been making ramps outta cardboard.

When the battery is charging the voltage rises in a curve. NiMh batteries like to reach the peak or the top of the curve and go past it for maximim charge. if its set to 3mv/c (3 millvolts per cell) the charger will stop charging the battery when the voltage drops 3mv.

so lets say during a steady 2 amp charge of a single cell battery it reaches a peak of 2.00 volts and slowly starts to loose voltage. With the delta peak set to 3mv/c the charger will stop charging when the charger sees the battery voltage drop to 1.97 volts.

good call on the bearings six! i didn't think that would make that much of a difference, but they did.
for some stronger links, use zip-ties. they are thicker than the stock plastic.
