I see alot of starts done with a gate that drops all 8-12 cars at once MX style. Try getting out of that first turn mess...Our starts are fine. If you feel the guy in back has a better advantage, start from the rear. You cant move forward in start position but I dont think anyone would complain if you went to the back.
Ive never seen any form of Offroad racing without a little rubbing/bumping. A deliberate T-Bone is uncalled formash:

Sorry for bringing it up, and I know Bernie has said it will not be changed, so why debate it?

The MX style rush to the first corner really is a crapshoot, anybody can come out of it great, but the TQ can get BF'd real quick, and that's a drag.

I guess it's a part of overall race strategy that has to be learned and perfected. I just know as a beginner it sucks to try to not be in the way, yet not just give up and stay out of the fray for the first 1/2 lap, but I sure don't want to stick my truck in there (which is my right according to MX start mentality) and cause a wreck of the guys around me (or myself!).

Oh well, at the end of the day it's just toy cars right?

races are not won in the first turns but is verry frustrating to qualify well and get taken out in the first turn.
the only real way to avoid the problem is to spread out the vehicles farther than 2 feet down the streight.
or people learn where there brakes are

I still say the sequential gate start with a 1/2 second delay between cars dropped is the way to go. That will make qualifying mean something and prevent the first corner pile up by spreading out the cars right off the bat.

You can't compare offroad vehicles that you ride on with RC cars. Can you even imagine the deaths that would occur if 1:1 offroad races started as badly as ours?

how bout starting the race at a corner or a turn that has no like jump or whatever to keep the guys off full wood at the start. It would help if there was room to start guys on the outside of the back straight and stagger them but theres the wall. Maybe even do front straight starts. Or qual first and beat everyone to the corner

Just stop being a freakin hack and lay off the gas at the start. Its the jagoffs that want to make up all these positions that start the pile-ups in the first place. Its called "Clean start", its alot harder than it seems for some but it is doable, try it. You cant blame the program or the track you can only blame the racers that do it. You guys can try to come up with a solution all you want, but it all comes down to a "clean start" everytime. You cant win it on the first lap or the first corner, but for some reason some guys think they can. You never peg the throttle on the start. and you can stuff that rubbings racing crap, any jag can drive like a dick ( i know first hand) but it takes skill to race clean and close. You guys can have the UMT class to drive like dicks, I'll leave mine at home and race GT with the MT's and not worry about the ego seekers in UMT.

I have another idea. How about we all just race our race and know that crap happens. My god!! I mean you are all here crying about this crap almost every week and yall know it is going to happen. As said before,these are just TOYS!. I think that 90% of us here know what is a accident or just someone having a bad race day or a brain fart and what is not. Sad thing is,if someone pulls off a move during a race. Its a great move,if they fail and wreck. They are a hack. Nice.

People have off days. Maybe they just didnt have that 'touch' like they did last week. They smoked everyone then,and now they are all over the place. Well now they are a hack right? This isnt going to change anytime soon. So bitchin about it week after week isnt going to stop it or change how often it happens and to who. But for everyone to start cryin 'hack' like a player cries foul on the field is stupid and getting old. So just laugh it up and have some fun because I dont know about the rest,but that is what I am there for.

I am not sayin every sunday needs to turn into a bash fest. And I know it never will. But everytime I turn around here or at the track. I see or overhear someone cryin about being hacked in the race. So please,everyone give it a rest and just go to have some fun with good people at a good track. Remember,this isnt the AMA(motorcross),ROAR,or even Nascar for gods sake. This is grown guys(or teens) racing toy cars. But from how most here talk. You would think it WAS one of those racing leagues.

As for the starts. The MX type would be cool and fun. It would give everyone the same chance going into the corner. The AMA do it,so do ROAR(offroad racing). Nascar does the same thing basicly everytime they start a race or have a restart from a yellow. But there is nothing wrong with how we start now. I see it as it being just as crazy as the other starting styles out there. And all those trucks are bound to have a problem at some point in time. Either on the 1st corner or the 5th. That many trucks fighting for the same spot. That doesnt work!

Your looking at 8-10 different driving styles,setups and driving lines,no one really ever knows when someone is going to hit the brakes goin into a corner. No one never knows when they will start to turn or get back on the gas. We dont have brake lights,we dont have turn signals,we cant even do arm signals! And I know those on the stand arent going to start to yell out to other drivers what they plan to do and when while racing. So we all take the risk of driving and crashing everytime we put that truck down on the track.

So please,stop the madness!!! Cant we all just get along?!

i actually agree with casketman and disagree, i agree that all the crying needs to stop, but yes sometimes theyre are hacks, I have been hacked a few times, but hell if they want to play that way let them, yuo be the bigger person and say screw it, Im not gonig to hack them back, allthough complaining about the way we start is stupid, cause no matter how you start there may allways be a hack in the crowd. solution: STOP CRYING AND STOP HACKING INTENTIONALLY.

See,I guess I have to be there to fully understand what you guys say is 'hacking' Or maybe I am just not all that up on it to care. I dont know. I know I have seen a nice amount of crashes that were junk. Hell,round 3 of the state race I seemed to have a target on me cause I couldnt go no where without having someone hit me.
But did I complain about it? Not really because I knew the racing wasnt over. Did I let it get me down? No,I still had fun. Just another speed bump I had to get over in order to get a good spot.

All I am sayin is just deal with it. Thats it. Its apart of ANY type of racing out there.

The thing that sets people apart from others is that there are those who let it ruin their race and or day... "I got hacked.......again!.....I am going to just go out there and ram into everyone then go home!.......screw that,I'm not going to marshal,I'm taking my trucks and going home!!!"

And there are those who can suck it up and deal with it "Oh well,rough race and still took 5th. Cant win them all. Still had fun this weekend and there is always the next race"
