I'm using a 2gb mem card, and on RAW mode, I only get 194 pics, but on the highest quality JPEG mode, I get nearly 500 pics on the card.

194 still isn't bad. As long as the card is empty when you head somewhere I really can't see there being a need for more than that. Now if yo utry going to a few races or bashes without emptying it then that could be a problem....

only shoot raw when the photos are gonna count, like weddings or you know...stuff that matters.

I haven't shot in raw in a long time. Takes to long to scan through pics on the camera, then upload them.

na, I'm in RC for life, but I have another things on my plate right now.
mainly spending time with my girlfriend and friends, losing weight, save up some cash (hard as hell with a $400 debt still hanging over my head related to this thread), and learnin shit at the local fire stations.
