i think i learned my lesson and im going to run a throttle return spring from now on

although that will help, if you get a bad glitch it wont keep it closed, the only time a throttle return spring works is when ur servos loose power. a failsafe is more for stopping glitches.

Exactly. Because if the servo glitches it has enough strength to overcome the spring.

I would get a parachute to, Just in case

Or mabye some (2) hay bales (sp?) at the end of the straight so the marshall is away from danger (stands on top of them) in that corner (as long as nothing catches on fire!) and then if somebody crashes there, no damage is done.
