well yesterday and today i had the greatest bash in my life. i went to jakes house and he has a revo2.5 and we were catching some great air. and bashed till 3 in the afternoon till 3:30 at night. he lives on a farm so no annoying neighbors. well after frying his tranny at about 1:30am we switched to my truck. we jumped it a good 25feet up and landed on flat ground. any ways anyways on to the trouble. we went out at 2:30 with my truck to have another jumping sesion when my motor wouldnt start. put 3 plugs in heated with a hair dryer and finally after 45mins it fired. well i was jumping and everything seemed to be smooth then he's like...i dare u to make the ramp steeper and hit it wot. so i did. i got the most air this truck has ever seen. it was nuts. then i landed and when i tried to go wot the engine will hit top rpms get ready to shift and backfire like ten times then idle. its almost like a car when you run a to low octane gas and the piston's ping from the gas igniting before the piston comes back up. i dont no if it was cold or what the hell is wrong with it. some help would be appreciated. thank you

Eww, that's an odd sound. Just to be sure, pull apart the motor and look for anything out of the ordinary.

Ok well take apart what you can then. Take off the backplate, look inside. Also, feel the diffs, check the slipper clutch setup.

2.5 are notoriois for snapping rods

lol blow and rod and just put a new one in the same motor, everything else should be fine right?????? hahahah

i put i different glow plug in and it was fine. i think it was to hot
