Hey guys I am going to be starting to race again soon, and am working on getting my buggy set up. What is the recomended suspension setup combo...shock oils and spring etc for LHR? Do certain tire combinations work better than others?

switch 2.0 C compound and run the werks medium molded inserts made for panther tires.
AS far as setup goes, its kinda tough on that car as I have never had seen anyone running one. 5-5-5 is usually a pretty solid diff setup. I would recommend getting a copy of the xray setup manual and hitting the track to practice, make one change at a time and go from there

Since the vehicle will only be somewhat competitive and you've not raced recently, I don't suggest getting special foams for the vehicle. The stock foams in the 2.0's are fine.
Also, 5/5/2 or 3 diff set up is a more common. Use the springs it has for now and see how they do. Maybe 35 wt shock oil all around or 40f/30r, Front axles slightly above level, rears level, then get the X-Ray manual on-line as Mike suggested to fine tune from there.

Mike, you're splitting hairs. Remember the vehicle we're talking about. He's not going to have it long enough to wear out the foams but good plug for Werks.
Speaking of which, where can one get them? I've seen their ad showing quite a few options but no one seems to carry all of the options. In particular the soft foams.

So what if he doesn't keep the buggy that long. Why wouldn't he be able to keep the tires and wheels if he keeps in buggy class?

for an X-ray buggy I assume( they are a manufacturer ) , you dont need that, as you have a TT mirage

Download the manual here: http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/product...AY%20XB8TQ
It's the best buggy manual out there. The principles apply to any vehicle.

Thats what I thought and I do have the manual for it. In fact was just using it. (the TTR Mirage Manual not the x-ray) Got the center diff done. ANd I just rebuilt the shocks as well. Darn thing sits a bit high in the back with the stock springs and 30 wt oil. All I had was 50 wt and 30 wt. Need to make a few adjustments.

If it sits high change the shock positions and reduce preload. It's in the manual. 30 wt is a good start. Bring money to the track for shock oil.

ok reduced the preload a bit and it sits perfect now. I will get the x-ray manual too. It has been a while since I have messed with any of this stuff, and I was all electric before so a lot of this stuff is new to me.

I see why you say that. Damn thing is nearly identical to my buggy except for the diff design. Thats the only major difference i have been able to find in the entire manual. Everything else is minor insignificant differences.
