I just told him in PM's not to get the Trinity one but I couldn't remember the other popular pipe besides the Vantage. The Trinity didn't work well with the .18's either though because the inserts are designed for .15 or .21 motors. The vantage was a high end pipe (I owned one) so it would probably tone down the torque a bit and still tear down the straights. It would probably help it out a little bit outdoor as well....

ya i know there was another one, the vantage one cant be very good as it pretty much goes against like everything that makes sense about back pressure lol. Isnt there a pipe from OS for the .18 or no?

FANTOM Pipe! Ugliest pipe I've ever seen, but it gave so much power compared to stock! It has a slightly larger stinger too (I think) so that'll be good for that .18. They can be found for around $30 plus shipping on ebay.

Edit-I can't find them on ebay. I'll look around later.

If you decide you really want a Vantage CF pipe, let me know. I have one that I used briefly that I could let go for a reasonable price.

In all honesty, when I compared the Vantage to the stock pipe, I can't tell them apart. The construction of the two is nearly identical, so you would think they operate in similar fashion, unless the CF material somehow changes the resonance of the pipe?

Some guys had the Traxxas Resonator Revo pipe, but I don't recall if they liked or disliked them.

the carbon fiber material wont get as hot causing a decrease in back pressure and usually in power as well. the fantom pipe gets twice as hot which gives the opposite effect

The Traxxas resonator really works well on the 3.3. Way better than the Trinity. Great increase low and mid range, with no loss on the high end. I also saw the engine temps drop by 20 degrees while performance incresed.

Until you have mastered a class you should really focus on one..... there is a lot of wrenching involved in keeping 2 trucks running. Not to mention a lot of cash.
