Ponch and I both ran cut reciever boxes but did it different ways. There is no real rule as it is customization to each persons individual truck. Just really analyze what you are doing, check to make sure there will still be good mounting points, and carefully cut once.

^^^ What he said.
I went thru about 2 rec. boxes finding a way I liked. I ended up with just the battery compartment, and made a scrap peice of plastic as a lid for it. Then I shoegooed the receiver to the top of the box.
Here's how I ended up liking my revo's boxes best;

That is about how I had mine. If I had to do it again I would mount the battery where the receiver is, the reciever on top of that, run the steering servo where that battery is, and then run the throttle servo where the steering servo is in that picture. A bit cleaner that way IMO but I am not sure about the weight balance.....

Dude.... Mikes TTR almost never breaks. He plowed a landing ramp before his motor was warmed up and that was about it. As much shit as we give him the TTR is actually pretty damn tough....

Just about EVERY big race vehicle has had it's own thread on here. Jerry has one for his, Rob has one for his BASH truck.... there have been plenty. And Tune's truck has a thread.... not yours. Your job is to just not screw it up. ;-)

Hell Czech even has one. It's the TTR thread in the offroad section.... he has to talk to himself though because he is the only one that runs one....

Just run MT, you have a great truck that is all set up. All you need is a new buggy that is not set up and will screw up your driving.

OK, so do you think you are going to get good in the few months that are left of indoor season? Once you get good, (I'm not going to say really good) but once you can get around the track pretty good then you can try another class, but if you try to switch too soon then I don't think its going to be the best for you.

He really doesn't get it..... you can't compare indoor drving to outdoor. Saying you will be a good driver by outdoor with a completely different vehicle with completely different track conditions is just not realistic. Run the revo. It is perfectly set up for racing. Why get something that is going to be nothing but discouraging to start racing outdoor with??

I tried telling him that. I waited twice as long as him to swtich and it was still way too soon. I could probably be a better driver now, even with my limited track time, if I had just picked a class and stuck with it.......
