im at school so the filter blocks youtube, plus any available proxy's, but i presume this is where you cut the key back a bit so that the part that fits into the lock is longer at which point you hit the back of the key and it forces the pins in the lock open?

It's based on vibrating the tumbler pins into a position that allows the lock to open.
Lock makers already are very aware of this, and newer locks just have stronger springs behind the tumbler pins and the bump keys don't work. But on older locks.....watch out.

When all you have to do do is give the door one good hip check.
there is only a 1/4 of an inch of wood behind the lock pin. and it only 3/4 of an inch thck.
