In the old days, we had a racing class that was based on your vehicle racing in the exact shape it came out of the box. you could upgrade some electronics, and wheels and tires, but the motor and chassis had to be the way the factory made it. It was fun and great for newbies. I was reminded of it by an article in RC Driver today.
Any interest in a total box stock race at Leisure? I think it would be fun.

Well back then it was electric off road, but who knows? Whatever people might be interested in. I would be interested in anything RTR or ARTR.
Maybe it could start out as a single race day event. Restore your R/C to stock specs and race it in a class. Or come with your new truck in its box and open it up and race it LOL!

Sorry, but i dont see the point. As of now i have to run my Kyosho cars Box stock. I think Rocco's Mugen is box stock. Its not like everybodys car is a highly modified mutant that has 2 motors. Maybe im missing the point. Sorry.

Prolly applies to RTR MT's more than any other class, where kits prevail.

I wouldn't see the point in the buggy or truggy class but a box stock monster truck class would be kind of cool. I just don't know if there are enough people with box stock trucks, or people that are willing to buy new trucks, for it to take off. Plus then I'm sure you will have people that try to cheat a bit and cut corners. Still kind of a cool idea though.
