Thanks.

Did you have any trouble calibrating the mamba? I couldn't get it to work and some how when I tried to get it to work, it calibrated wrong. I hit the brake, it goes forward, and when I hit the gas it goes backward? I know there is no servo, but do I need to reverse the servo on the radio?

I was just driving it in a straight line with the messed up settings, it seems like backing the diffs out 1/2 a turn is too much. Almost right away they diff out. The motor is spinning really fast, but the car is going like 2 mph's?

calibrating that sob is a nightmare. I finnaly got it to work somehow by the grace of god. There is a thing with reverse. You have to do the calibration and then turn it off or whatever and... when you check reverse you have to sit in neutral for like 2-3 seconds. It will not go from f-r right away. It's kinda weird at first. But yea it took me and my dad reading as I did it like a freakin hour to get it. I kept having no reverse. Do you have the directions? cause if not I seen them at rcdocuments.com

Yeah, I have the directions, but since it "thinks" it is already calibrated, I don't know how to recalibrate it.

The whole servo issue pisses me off. Someone on a different forum recommened it and it doesn't even fit.

Those? Still looks like it uses the stock plastic ring gear.

ok yea. Just pretend you are programming a new controller. Go to 3.0 in the directions and follow those. I had to do it like 5 times it goes so fast.. I had the most problems with answering it's questions in step 3.2.3 I found out to turn it off and wait a sec and turn it back on and try it out it works better than trying to try it after programming if that makes sence. I think I was confusing it as much as it was me lol.

Thanks, I will try that.

I am seriously considering just stopping this project and selling it off. I should have thought out what I was going to be buying and how much it was going to cost. Right now, I am about 275 into this car and it still doesn't work. I am using the radio from my buggy and will have to swap out the rx everytime I use it.

been there done that. Hey I don't know what rx you need but hoobajoob has a nib stock rc18t reciever he'd probably sell for about 30 bux. He paid 40 for it thinking it was a esc. lol

Is that rtr? I don't have battery yet (I was using the one from my mini-t) and there would be no radio.

I will see how everything goes and see how much my little brother will actually drive it. He didn't drive his mini-t that much.

I hope to get atleast $250 if I decide to sell FTE roller with the mamba.

cool...I hated my mini-t but I love the 18mt. There is so much of a diffrence it aint even funny. Good luck if you need any more info just ask. I'll see what I can do. The wheel adaptors are made by trinity and I got em at leisure for 16 bux with some dynamite onroad tires and rims(package thingy) for like 20 bux. WORLD of diffrence. Looks like a little truggy lol And it keeps it on the ground too. But I would get it all straight first to make sure you like it.

I am looking at the fact I need to drive about 20 minutes one way if there is no traffic to go and return the servo. Have them order me a new one, and drive back once it is in.

I also would need to order a battery which is another 25.

Hope this helped.Wink

I'm using this one in both a stock 18t and in my Uber-T.

I've just caught up with all your listed problems...

1. If you're still getting reverse instead of forward and vice versa, try switching any two wires from esc to motor.

2. You can find all your programming issues on the castle Creations website.

3. Diff wise, I run the stock ball diffs from the factory truck...but it doesn't matter if it's ball or gear stock diffs. I run them all the way tight and backed off a tiny turn(maybe 1/8th?) and make sure you have them shimmed to run on the main shaft smoothly.

Don't sell it man...when they do run they are a super durable and race worthy truck...I like it almost as much as my Vendetta!

If you need any more help, pm me here or try me at one18th.com.
I am the Stig.
