Kankakee river claims another
#1
Well today I spent 2 and a half hours swimming diving and wading through the kankakee river trying to find my new nitro hammer boat. The steering died on it and instead of running it straight across the river and beaching it on the other side I hit the brakes. If you've ever had a nitro boat you'd know that the brakes is a kill switch. Well she stopped dead in the middle. I tried driving down river to wait and hike for it but it never came. I wadded through more water than I ever cared to till I was just darn right mad. I gave up hope and declared I'm screwed and out a new boat with 6 tanks through it after a 2.5 hour rescue mission.
Sad
On a side note...If anyone goes fishing on the river and catches a grey nitro hammer, I'd like it back

Ouch that sucks...Make sure you check carefully along each side of the river from the point where you last saw it to as far as you care to go...

That river doesnt have to many deep spots from what I hear. So chances are,if it was moving at a good clip,it hit the rocks and it is on the bottom. Or in someones house right now LOL.

I was running it in an area that is about 3'-5' in depth. Just after the dam so the current was movin it pretty good. My guess is that it took on water just sittin there and drowned. I don't run the boats by people so as not to irratate them lol so I'm pretty sure someone didn't take it. The people that did see me runnin up and down the shore line in and out of the water soaked from the neck down in jeans and jordans were like man that blows!
