Bump boxes are pretty easy. Skill level 1. Instructions. Put electric motor in mount, bolt mount to box chassis, wire battery positive terminal to external on/off switch. Take positive lead from on/off switch and wire to pressure switch, then route positive lead from pressure switch to electric motor. From electric motor wire negative lead to negative terminal on battery. I'm too lazy to write the wiring for including an external charge lead to charge the gel cell up.

Even the pro kits aren't hard to build when it comes to skill level. Time consuming though, but not hard.

Yeah comon, you gotta be dumb as a box of rocks if you can't assemble a starter box.

Get the mugen, either from Joe or bmain has 'em for $80 plus shipping.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This is a simple wiring setup using a simple on/off switch. It should be pretty easy to understand. The charging leads on the box are ALWAYS hot in this setup. There are many other ways to wire it to make it more versatile, adding a power panel to run a glow plug, etc.... external inputs to power the motor in case of a dead battery (always a plus)

A 12v gel cell doesn't have enough juice to harm you. Give you a very painful jolt yes, but its not that bad.

Wanna see complicated look up the plans for microprocessors or the wiring diagrams for modern cars. Smile Tracking a missing ground in those is a pain.

My gel cell was $12 and lasts for 2 or 3 weeks on a single charge. The twin stick packs have more umph but won't last as long as a gel cell. If cheap is what you need a gel cell won't let you down.

mine are going on 2 years, charge them once a week before u hit the track. Lighter and less headaches
