I haven't seen one in person but they're a Euro buggy designed for Euro tracks that's what I've been told though. I kinda like how it looks, it looks very stealthy and much like an electric buggy with the front wing

I'm not planning on buying one, just found it when I was looking at Medial Pro's website for their rally game tires.
Its not quite a "lay down" shock, but very close to it, more compact as well. I wonder how well the rear wing mount stands up to hard hits.
This reminds me very much of the Tenthtech Predator. It looks like everything is very low to the chassis.
probably expensive as hell too.

ya its expensive, I know I've seen one at one of the big races and it looked like ASS on the track, there just isnt enough suspension travel to handle anything other than astro turf

the brakes are pretty unique, but i dont think they would be that easy to adjust

Actually I think they would be very easy to adjust. If you want more front brake bias shorten the turn buckle, if you less power to the front, lenghthen the turn buckle.
it actually would work quite well and it simplifies the linkage. And with that setup its also possible to vary how progressive the brakes engage by loosening the set screw and moving the brake linkage either closer, or further from the pivot point.

TBH that looks like its gonna be a PITA to set the brake bias, you cant get much easier than one link for the front and one for the rear

It's too bad the front shocks dont give enough travel. Those towers look like they would take some abuse!

like mike says a lay down shock like that wont handle anything on the track
ive even herd the ae buggy's not handling very good on rough tracks. and
before you guys go off on how well it looked at the nats keep in mind that
track was pretty nice all three times they had to rebuild it after the floods

but thats why they are still working on that car. when its right they will
release it and hopefully it will help bring more people into 1/8 just like the losi
did. people like ae and maybe we can even get mello out there with us.

i really like how it looks. its a shame that there's no suspension travel. Ill bet its got a great center of gravity! hey billy, bet that thing is the perfect candidate for on-road buggy racing like you were talkin bout b4!
id like to test one to see how the suspension really is though.

im sure they got all of the travel they possibly could get out of it; however im sure it isnt anywhere near to the buggys considered to have little travel out today. lay down shocks will give you all the lateral traction in the world but you may as well make those shocks an inch long because thats all the action and travel they are gonna see given the angle of them

probably would with an IGT body on it; althought you would get a really progressive feel and it may be too stiff for most conditions

yea. i like to see more than 3 companys making a car thats worth
buying. losi did a great job in a short time. and this ae car will
help our hobby even more.. but with companies like k,losi,ae,mugen
and ofna taking home all the coin a car like the piktor, cen, ocm wont
last for long.

maybe but its hard to compete with a company that has the money,
tech.,exp.,and the big ad. budget..maybe in a market thats not rich
in losi and ae cars a piktor would be nice compared to a radio shack
but we are used to good cars here so a small car from across the pond
wouldn't float like a kturd
