I must be asking way too much for my pede. I thought I'd ask you guys what a good price is.
Right now I've got it listed with a starting bid of $400, I've got 4 watchers, no bids, and over 5 days to go. Should I just wait and see if it sells or not?
Here is the ad;
This is the only truck of its kind!
I just put the new Fast Lane Machine aluminum transmission on. It is currently geared at 21/81 and is amazingly fast (I suggest gearing it lower).
It weighs 4 pounds, just shy of the weight of a stock Stampede (when weighed on my bathroom scale).
I have many more pictures available.
Upgrades:- Fast Lane Machine Chassis
- Fast Lane Machine Extended Front and Rear A-Arms
- Fast Lane Machine Front Bulkhead
- Fast Lane Machine Front and Rear Shock Towers
- Fast Lane Machine Aluminum Transmission Case
- Fast Lane Machine Aluminum Castor Blocks
- Novak Super Sport Brushless System
- Pro-Line Blade Tires (front/line new)
- Pro-Line Hole Shot Tires (rear/worn) (would include complete set of stock tires)
- Futaba Magnum Radio System (transmitter and receiver)
- RPM Wide Front Bumper
- Losi Green Springs (front)
- RCRaven Dual-Rate Springs (back)
- RPM Bearing Carriers With Large Bearings (front and rear)
- Adjustable Camber Turnbuckles (front and rear)
- Hitec 645 MG Steering Servo with Kimbrough Servo Saver
- Aluminum Idler Gear
- HPI Aluminum Hex Drives
- BadHorsie Blue Shock Socks
- Ofna Wing
- Includes Two 7-Cell 3300 mah battery packs.
Shipping would be $15.00 flat rate domestic only.
I don't want people to think I'm pricing this too high so here is the breakdown;
FLM Aluminum Transmission $60.00
Tires/Shock Socks/Bumper/Antenna $60.00
Fast Lane Machine Super Chassis Kit $150.00
Novak Brushless System $200.00
Stampede $150.00

Are you on eBay with it? Rather than start bidding at $400, set a $400 reserve sell price. That way you get bidders. If nothing else you can identify who they are and what their limits are for your item. If it doesn't hit the reserve, you can always relist it with a lower reserve, or make a Second Chance offer to the high bidder.
$400 seems fair for all of the bling on that truck. It just might not be everyone's "cup of tea". Maybe convert it back to stock trim and sell the aluminum stuff stand-alone? At $400 I would bet most folks will just pony up a few more dollars and get a brand new Revo.

Thats what I was thinking :o.
My friend listed his buggy on ebay, had well over $3,000 into it, and it came with a ton of stuff (loads of springs, oils, enough spares to almost build another buggy, M8, starter box, various battaries and chargers, WS7 with not even a gallon through it), it sold for just over the reserve, winning bid was $510, reserve was $500, but it now was $700.
The prices ive been seeing RC stuff go for latly on ebay is really bad, I seen a big block supermaxx sell for around $700 a few days ago, and a few spektrum DX3s, new in box, sell for under $140.
SOLD: BCE Pro X1-CRT Truggy, Dace Predator/Unlimited Engineering towered VBS Supermaxx
Current: Nitro Traxxas Slayer Pro 4x4, Nitro Traxxas Slash

Well, I guess I'll let it run its course. If it doesn't sell I'll just keep it and wait.

I would part it out, you'll get your $400 that way (if worse comes to worse)
I think $400 is a awesome price for that Pede. I would let the auction ride out on ebay and see what you come up with

That's not just "bling" it is actually way better stuff, it just happens to bling out of coinsidense
he's asking $400 on ebay, I would guess the lowest he'll go is $400. Well worth it for a nice Pede, and that one is definitely worth it. One of the top 3 Pede's I've ever seen, and I used to be a Stampede fanatic! I had a super quick Pede, not like the novak that's in this thing though.

Yeah, my starting price is 400 on eBay, but I was hoping the auction would go much higher. On RCU its tough to tell what price to set it at. If you go too low than someone with a higher priced RC will figure its not worth it to trade.

I use "bling" for any shiny parts, cosmetic or hi-perf. If they are both, then it's bling-bling, dontcha know.
I was just commenting that with all of the great looking parts it may appeal to a show-truck guy more than a hardcore racer who wouldn't want it all dirty and scratched up.
If it's a true $600 truck, list it where true RC guys will realize it's value and it will sell.

It's a "true" $600 truck for sure.
And the real Pede guys know that those parts are made to bash and take a beating, but just happen to look good in the process

Only 2 days into the auction and already 4 watchers? That's good in my book.
Usually for expensive stuff, people will not bid until the last day. Think of it like this, if your buying something on ebay for $400, do you want to start a bidding war and pay way more than you need too? You'll wait till the last possible second to bid as to help get the lowest price possible.
Wait it out and see.

Any # of watchers is a plus...that means there is interest. Like Tune said, most will wait until the end to bid.

i would disagree with watchers a plus,i have seen and had people watch items for sale and never actually bid or even come back to the item,
the way i see it and all the stuff i have sold on ebay and yahoo watchers does not mean anything, there exactly what that says watchers,
exept the one time that a watcher tried to really lowball me on an item that did not sell on ebay but sold on yahoo at the same asking price
just my opinion on watchers

How do you have it listed? How the title reads is very important as far as people actually finding it. I searched "stampede" and couldn't find the listing.

I was going to trade a guy for one but something was wrong with it...I forget now. Is the 4.6 better than the 25?

yeah it's a .28 and seems like a better motor with alot more power. It also comes with good tires (dirt bones) and a sweet exhaust.
I would get the Savage 4.6 if I was going to buy a savage.
