what to do about bad deals

need some advice on what to do if some1 hasnt held their end of a deal up. i bought something from someone on this forum and have not received it. i sent a money order via ups. they recieved it last monday. this person told me that it could take a couple of days for it to clear at his bank, so i gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited. i contacted him thursday to find out the status of the payment and he said it still didnt clear.

he banks with bank of america as i do. so i went to my bank to verify how long it takes a money order to clear. i was told by the next business day.

so its now monday morning and im starting to get really pissed off. a hundred bucks is pocket change for me and im not really concerened with that. im just pissed that this person is either taking way to freakin long to hold up his end or he's trying to screw me over.

so, what can i do about this or am i just out a c-note.

p.s (to the person that owes me) contact me a.s.a.p. my patiance is wearing thin.

it might take longer than the next business day.give it a couple more days and see it should definatlt clear by wednesday.

F!ck that money orders are guarateed money! It's been paid for already, there is no clearing! I could see a personal check taking a while but not a money order!

The only ones that are are the postal money orders.
You have to be careful when taking a non-postal money order as there has been a lot of scamming with fake money orders the last couple years.

If you kept the receipt from the money order you can call the number on the back to see if it has been cashed/cleared.

this person is "me" and we have been in contact the past few days with pms, I told I bank with the national bank....its a local bank, and I rember I told you to send me a usps money order as well I hold all m.o and personal checks for 5-6 days prior to shipping I told you I would ship out on monday (this comming mon) and the post office will be closed I will send on tuesday a.m...I ship everything next day if it is pay-pal so calm down

I hold m.o for a week so I dont get f-d out of my stuff im selling by sending before everything is clear and good to go, the engine will be sent out on tuesday as planned if u had pay-pal you would have the engine already...im not a "scammer" I ship what I say I am shipping and when I will ship it sorry you feel that I am not holding my end of the deal but I dont know how I am at fault here maybe 3 weeks after I recieved payment start posting threads like this..but 6 days come on give me the benift of the doubt

Maybe "pocket change" is the wrong word, but I too agree that 100 bucks is not the end of the world. I almost exclusively buy used stuff too, since I get bored quick usually with rc stuff so I can turn around and sell it for what I paid, and sometimes at a nice profit. Nothing wrong with buying nice used stuff and letting the other guy take the depreciation hit.
