also heard that the ackrman are breaking
10-06-2007, 11:05 AM
i havent heard of anyone breaking the ackerman, if ur worried about it M2C has an alum one out already. Couple guys broke the top plate, just boil it, they are working on fixing that. And as far as the prebuilt thing goes, i hate it too, but instead of working 10 hours to build the kit now you can go through every piece of the car in a max of 2 hrs and be ready to race. The car has been out less than a week guys there are gonna be a few bugs

yeah but you always like to slam the 8ight even when it was a new release. and all I have ever broken are maybe a dozen tie rod ends with over 12 gallons on it so far
I was just passing on the info I heard
10-06-2007, 11:26 AM
i bashed on the 8 because even well after it came out stupid shit was still breaking everyone burning up servos stuff wearing out in 1-2 gallons, and i think its a turd thats just my opinion I dont like the car at all. Atleast give the AE a couple weeks or a month or two before ur start saying its junk everything breaks etc etc. Everyone who posted on the grid about some going wrong also said it was the best handling car they had ever drove turns better and has more acceleration that a losi but is stable like a K car

dont get me wrong I LOVE my 8ight but I am def. interested in picking up the RC8 in the next couple mths after shit gets worked out...yeah the servo issues on the 8ight were annoying but if you set everything up correctly you wouldnt have issues I burned up a couple servos but after putting a o-ring under the radio tray all has been perfect "knock on wood"...I get what your saying though.

its just irked me how all the losi guys blamed it on "you dont know how to setup ur EPA's" Alot of guys that have been racing longer than i am had problems, it wasn't a setup thing imo

Maybe Fioroni will make a top plate for the AE. Kind of funny that the new AE buggy is having its pins just fall out because the screw heads aren't large enough to hold them in place. May i suggest an E-clip, after all the MULTI World Champion Kyosho uses this ancient and often ridiculed (by Mikey) type of securing hardware.
What comes around.........

Taken from a post on the Grid yesturday;
What I dislike: The parts you will brake are not available, I broke the steering ackerman...My buggy has been down for a week and it's looking like it will be down for another week...The lady I had spoken with at AE was really rude, when asking her the ETA for the part. You will need to add diff fluid to the diffs, they are really low in fluid.

put a washer on the screw done, or shoe goo done dont need eclips
here taken from the grid: The RC8 is a very good buggy. Turns like not other buggy I have driven. Very impressed. I took my RC8 to the track today. It took a bit to get used to. It is very responsive in the corners. After a few tanks of gas I was driving it like I owned it. I'm very happy. I trashed the heck out of the car and didn't break anything. I dont find the rear end loose at all and I still run the 16 toothe clutch bell. Even with Bowties that always feel loose for me the car actually feels hooked up. I dont drive punched. Joe u forgot the first part of this post: My Thoughts about the RC8 kit.... What I like: The buggy has a bunch of small features I think everyone will enjoy. Car handles like a dream right out the box, however I did experience a slight on power push. The rear end can also be a little loose when getting on the gas, because of the insane acceleration the buggy has. I really like this buggy... Finally got some wheel time in my RC8! It turns in like a dream I mean very very responsive, it just feels light! JQ, Not sure on the weight, but it does feel very light in comparison to other buggy's. There are too many little "genious" things to list....they are just mental notes that I took as I was looking at the car for 2 hours...they were things that I was like "man that makes sense"... check one out and you will see what im talking about my favorite thing on the entire car is the radio tray...it all goes together so perfect with no exposed wires...and looks very clean when all installed...the little rubber insert to keep the wires from getting mangled is great... theres the last two pages should i go back farther?

I was calling you out, you said you didnt read anything about the ackerman, when in fact you did.
Brings back memories of the TTR S3 thread when it first came out. Car was golden, then it quickly faded away. Here we go....... Man does it kill you that Kyosho dont want ya!
