I have not recieved mine yet. The assertion that they can use Mini-t tires came from a review on another site that reported that Min-t tires improved performance. But I will see when I get it.
I'm not surprized that they sold out already at 70 bucks.

So...Assuming that the body for this and the body for the half 8 are roughly the same size lengthxwidth, I might pick up a JC body for the h8 and fit it on there. shouldn't be too hard to do and would get rid of that bubble look.

Yeah. but that's to cover up stuff like the gas tank and the air filter, crappy design. I could cut out a hole for the fuel tank and then just get a new neck for the air filter to keep it under the body.

It kinda sucks how they got the screw off fuel tank lid, but i guess its fare as long as everyone has em.
12-10-2007, 08:52 AM
You can get a "hop up" flip lid for around 6 bucks, but I plan on spending zero dineros on this toy.

Yeah. It's not too bad tho, 1/4 turn and its off.
I'll probably get the flip lid eventually just because. Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

Yeah, I dont think he does carry that stuff. but there might be other gear that you could get. But dont be afraid to ask him. I have made requests and he gets things that he has never sold. You never know. The Caos wasnt the best selling RC you know. so getting parts for an RC that is getting pulled is probably a definate not gonna happen.

Bah I'll spill some of it.
Got some HPI tophat washers (you guys know what I'm talking about, kyosho uses them in the steering knuckles, hpi rs4 does also) I got the ones for the rs4. They should fit with minimal work. stock, a self tapping screw just goes straight thru the knuckle. That's going to wear quickly and create slop. This way it should work perfect. Got some rc18t turnbuckles ~ 8 bux should ditch slop and add adjustability. Box stock it has way too much play and too much front toe in for my tastes. got some graphite sheet too. I will be making those steering drag links like I said earlier I think? Might sell them too if it's not too hard. Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

Picked up the list that PONCH put up at the top....and also ran across a OFNA Picco P-0 pull start for $48 @hopmeup on ebay. The parts that PONCH listed I ordered from RCSLOT for a substantial discount over Horizon (about 20-25% off) and shipping was only $9 from Franklin, WI...so short ship time.

We got ours today! Its sweet! Were gettin another after xmas. WE did one tank of idle, we couldnt get it too high, only up to 100 deg. After the idle we Drove it around a lil bit at about 200 deg. Then the third tank we tuned it to about 230 where it was runnning perfect! so easy to tune. The handling is amazing too. I took it apart and cleaned it and took the head off and it was oily and with no shavings at all so hopefully its fine. These things are awesome.
