Cascade is a good choice because of it's location right off the hwy. Saves a little time driving back to Devils Head. I liked them both and we used to ski alot at each.
AV and Wilmot are too short.
Whitecap Mtn in upper WI was one my fav's. A buddy like going to the Porcupines, but that was a loooong drive.

I want to try snowboarding but I'm with Czech on this one. Everything I do my feet are separate and balance goes about the same direction. I bike, ski, roller hockey, ice hockey..... all the same. Haha I can't skateboard real well so I don't see myself going pro as a snowboarder in this life.

i went snow boarding once, i sucked balls never made it down the hill once. just tweaks me out not being able to move my feet i guess. Skiing is easy i was good at that first time out, until i tried going off some ramps, nothing a night in the hospital couldnt fix lol

It is kinda hard to go back and forth, i used to play roller hockey and it felt kinda weird goin back and forth between boarding and that.

I think I'm going back up to wilmot today again, can't wait.
LOL I'm spending so much on boarding and skiing its sickening, but oh so worth it!

Went to wilmot again today, was alot of fun, I used my snow blades and my snowboard. Had a great time.
I'm making this my 07-08 snowboard and ski thread.

SOOO much fun. I skied from age 8-12 then snowboarded from 13 till now(17) but just traded my ION paintball gun for the pair and the boots, and I've been having alot of fun with them!

you know before I moved from Illinois, I used to always ski at Devil's head. I have seen the mountains in Kentucy and well I never could imagine skiing on a mountain. Those little hills are silly,lol. Since I now live out here in Montana, I have to say The mountains on the east coast are little compared to here. and you dont have to go to colorado to have a good weekend skiing. There are plenty of great ski lodges here by Billings.

I went to four lakes a few times so far,i want to goto wilmot since ive never been there. Is it like as big as alpine valley?

Wilmont is kinda small...still fun for lack of anything larger if you live near by. The only thing I didn't like is that you would usually get a thin layer of new fluff on top of sheer ice...last time I went I got in two runs and ALL the wax was stripped from the bottom of my board :mad:
