What car would you rather have given to you?

I dont like air bags. Something about compressed air filling a cushion with air in a milla second being shot in your face just doesnt settle for me.

Yeah compressed air in a cushion or bashing face in a steering wheel, dash or windshield, or some combo of them all... Makes an air pillow sound real bad huh?

Compressed Air???More like a small controlled explosion. No air tanks in an SRS SYS...

They seem to have the systems pretty good now. No more blowing baby heads off lately

I'd still prefer the option to have my vehicle explosives equiped or not. I have been in situations on bicycles past where coaster brakes (well any hub mounted brakes) would have been better than the type that clamp down on the rim, like riding through wet grass and trying to stop. I have also been in situations where I was able to panic brake and dodge another vehicle w/out ABS....while slightly hydroplaining (sp?) in the rain, with tires that probably should have been replaced well before that on a then 15+ year old car.

Not wanting safety features on our $*@#&* up roads, highways, interstates, backroads is just plain dumb. Sorry if you're insulted. Wait till you get hit my some drunk mother @%$^&%. lets face it 99% of people don't drive intellegently. Ever notice how the person who was being responsible gets f#@$#$ up the most? I'd rather have safety crash features on my side.

Well except for Bjoe... he seems to be the best driver ever to get behind the wheel of anything with wheels... Lighting quick reflexes, able to predict what other drivers are going to do before they even know and lets not forget hes is also invincible so he doesnt need saftey devices...... (rolls eyes out of sockets)

The explosives connected to the airbags have been tested to the point that the companies who developed them put them into MILLIONS of new cars, trucks and SUV's every year with complete confindence that their product will help make america's roads a safer place for everyone..... Even those of us who are as naturaly talented like Bjoe.

Take the yukon,
They are very low maintanance trucks. ( other than a fuel pump every 100,000 miles or so)
My last seven trucks were. suburbans or yukons.
That all had over 250k on them when i got rid of them.

And they are not all that bad on fuel.
we took my wifes yukon Denalli to florida last year with six people in it. and all are luggage and still got 20 mpg.

Couldn't agree more. My dad has had yukons or suburbans since I was born, well the year after, when he traded in his 760il(or whatever the 7 series with the v12 was at the time). Ever since he's had a burban or yukon xl. He sold his first one with 130000 on it to one of his employees for dirt cheap 10 years ago. That truck is still running strong, even after repeated trips to mexico, it has over 350,000 on it now! My dad loves the large SUV's, they are solid and don't break down.

Anyways, now the decision is even more difficult, as my parents dont want me taking a car to colorado my first year, but my dad said yesterday, "If you get good grades freshman year, we will trade in the g6 for something a bit nicer". So hopefully that means I can get an STI or some sort of fast, awd sedan. I don't love driving trucks, but hey, free is free, but again, my dad changes his mind daily, until he finds something he LOVES

I doubt I'll get an STI anyways, what with my driving history and all. Wishful thinking, although I do like the 5 door STI, the 4 door is nicer

5 door sedan:drool: or wagon:banana:?

Now that I've read how much dentist students need to buy and carry to class, the Yukon might be the best choice..................
