werd. Though I'm not sure if this was Top Gear, or just the Hamster doing a side show like JC does with some of his own car review videos.

Still, When I saw the jet reach 1 mile high before the veyron hit the end of the runway, I knew the veyron would loose. on the way up the jet would be fighting gravity, on the way down.....well it'll accelerate a WHOLE lot quicker.

Hamster might have won if he put the veyron into speed mode for the initial launch as it would have reduced drag significantly and given him a precious few seconds. On the return run it would have been in normal street mode. The Veyron only does about 230mph in normal street trim, you have to activate the special mode to reach its 253mph top speed. Once the brakes are applied in the speed mode it reverts to normal mode.
