The way I see it, they didn't do anything wrong. Yes we can all agree that the flag is a symbol of freedom, however it isn't the flag that makes us what we are. By what they did it shows how free we are as a country.
I would never fight for the flag, as I would fight for the country.
To me the flag is a symbol of the past of our country, and what it took for the American people to give us this freedom, and to keep us free. So I guess that for me it makes it a memorial (sp?) of what it takes to be free.

that's an interesting view...
to me the flag is a symbol of the past (a memorial, yes) the present (who we are today) and the future. To me, if the flag is just a thing of the past, then it has no future, and our ideas and principles from which the past was based wouldn't have a future either.

Part of how the government is now, is due to small groups of people with nothing better to do with their time, then to look for things to complain about and have the resources to push their views. In a country that was founded on freedom, where have all the freedoms gone?

The government is, plainly put. About themselves, themselves being elected officials, and not for the people as it once was. Money and power have corrupted us. Most Elections are fixed. You noticed how close the democratic primary is? The republican one was a joke. I doubt hardly nobody voted for the other candindates. Ron Paul was on media black-out because of his views. McCain is supported by the current tyrannical, known as G-Dub. Really I wish I could do a thing or two to change the way the country is. Im tired of us oppressing other countrys and playing bully, or well, George did that. There's alot more to say...but I don't have the time to think out my words. Just know that, as free as you think you are, our privacy and such are being quickly confiscated.

The democratic party is so close only because they were stupid enough to put 2 "First Ever"'s against each other. They should have had a "Typical" cantidate run against the "First Female" or "First Black" cantidate. (Sorry if the word "Black" offends anyone, I don't keep up with the weekly P.C. accepted reference).

Actually, as I understand it for alot of my friends back home.. My brotha's really dont care for the term "African American" and "Black" is just fine! So I see no reason as you would be offending anyone ya "whitebread honky Uncle tom craka ass!"

But anyways getting back to this whole hatin on the flag or being all PC about politics. Do you all really believe you have it so bad? I mean for the most part reguardless on how you want to call it, you did vote for whomever is in the house representing you. Even if you didnt, its how it is because majority wins the vote and all you can do is blame your peers for not seeing your side of the fence. Ill tell you, I have been to some really shitty countries and before you go off calling your goverment crooked and ass backward, you should see how it is in South africa, or China, even Canada is messed up! I spent 2 weeks in canada and could wait to step back in the U.S. So sure we may have some messed up politics and you think your freedom is being jeapordized, spend a week in another country and you will be begging to come back here and all that Political mumbo jumbo suddenly becomes a nice topping of fudge on your icecream.
I have to add, I can not stand the Peace Wussies in this country crying about No war! you know, I agree that we shouldnt be fighting in something that an exit stratagy will be if anything most likely long after I am dead. Somethin someone should had thought of completely through rather than B.S.ing our thoughts into the whole game. I am sorry we as a country are resending and recycling our troops to keep it balanced over there and basically we are keeping the problem from escalating to a blowback on the U.S. So there is now a point for our troops being there as F Up as it seems to be. The fact is, our country is strong and we will overcome this as long as we remember what it means to be American!
My thoughts are if you dont like the way the country is being run, you dont like the American way of life, No one is by far keeping you here. Get the hell out and quit bitching to people who dont give a crap!

Yes, the second to run, but my comment was aimed at IF he wins, he will be the first Black pres. IF Hillary wins, she'll be the first female. That is why I refer to it as 2 "firsts".

Typical Ignorance. If you don't realize how corrupt it is, you don't pay attenton, and for that you are stupid. I like my rights and my freedoms. I however, don't like the governing body making it easier to siphon money out of us. I hate the "get the hell out" defence. Suck a chub and learn about the world a little more. There's alot more to say, but again, Im at work and don't feel like writing a college paper.
