The Naperville HobbyTown USA is CLOSING! Big surpise....
Anywhoo, This concerns the SCRC members.
I will be working at Hills Hobby Shop in Buffalo Grove! Im looking forward to starting fresh and in a store with money! Ya guys will still get your discounts and any other perks ya got in Naperville.
Currently there is not enought room to build an indoor course but there is some room for an outdoor course!
I plan on making the RC department to cater to Rock Crawlers. I will be starting fresh with RC4wd and if all goes well we will be stocking axles, R2Ds, R2s, punisher shafts, and various other parts!
I was given the ok for hosting meetings there but space is limited (there are some other things in the works)
If ya guys have any questions feel comments or general abuse free to e-mail me at
Jeepguy7891(AT)SBCglobal.net
I will be working with Jeff (jetboat) to bring ya guys the best product as possible so feel free to give you input!
Thanks,
Zack

wow. for some reason after the last comp there, I'm not suprised. No disrespect to anybody but they had NO stock what-so-ever. But thats how it goes sometimes. #1 reason I haven't ventured out on my own yet

Wow, sorry to see any shop close down. Times are tough and the internet makes it harder yet for the LHS.

Internet hobby stores will eliminate many more locaction based style stores. The selection and pricing is just too good

its not even about price or this and that its about the crappy customer service most hobby shops have. i go to certain hobby shops where i know ill get good customer service. if i go in to a hobby hsop and i get in a argument because some moron behind the counter tells me a gallon of byrons is 40+ dollars and od is the best im not going back. and this was right after the owner explained why he doesn't carry it which was a very valid reason. i think hobby shops need to look into the people they hire more then they do. I went to venture the other day and waited 10 minutes while the employees talked just so i could get 5 feet of fuel tubing. i will never go back there. the hobby hsops are dying because of customer support. i go to ht st charles or crystal lake and al's and i always get good customer service . i cant comment on the ht in naperville but thats just my rant on hobby shops

+1 for Al's. My only complaint is I end up standing around too long to get waited on cuz they are always so damn busy!

Here here for Al's. They let me bash my crap at their birthday party. Rather drive the half hour to Al's than the 5 minutes to Venture.

I don't calculate distance when I calculate quality. Lol. Quality is still Quality even if its farther away.
