Make your own RC shells and parts...
#1
So I am on another website, and one of the guys posts a thread about an RC crab robot. Im watching the vids and when I come up to the third evolution of his design I notice he has made this cool shell and arms for his crab. Anyways he come across a product that reacts like plastic, but doesnt break and yet flexes and bends like the flex nyonplastic. the product is called Shapelock, so I am wondering how well it works to mold a shell and or parts then paint it or dye it? They offer a free sample to try out on thier website. Thought I would share this great idea.

Wouldn't work for Nitro. The temp that it becomes soft is too low. Kinda cool though.

I've molded some things from lexan with my shopvac and a heat gun. Mostly just headlight buckets and lenses though, nothing fantastic. Looks like a cool product though, sort of like wax.
