Well, the way I am looking at it is if I need something like nitro or plugs and dont have time to go out there then I'll go to these places. If I am heading to say AJ's in DeKalb I wouldnt need to, he has a shop there. Just alternatives that are a bit closer. Plus with 3 kids and working 10-12 hours a day, i'd have to plan to make a special trip. Which isnt always possible for me. I will probably make a trip to Al's and Venture just to check them out.

I think once you see ALs or even better Venture....you won't even want to stop in one of those little hobby store again. Most don't really even support R/C cars and trucks.

Cool Beans! I am just waiting for this guy on ebay to send me the truck! I am getting alittle worried the guy got paid last thursday and it was 4 day shipping Via UPS. The last email I got from him he said he wouldn't send until he got paid, and the email was sent to me 8 hours after paypal already paid him. I am getting that feeling that mb I am gettin burned. I will be contacting paypal and ebay if I dont get it by friday.

Nexus, I am sure your right! But that Chicagoland hobby sounds promising. I am gonna check them out first just to get some fuel and glow plugs to rebreak-in this engine.

Ok just talked to the wife, truck arrived this morning 2 minutes after I left for work Figures. I am gonna check it out, mb post some pics and figure out what I need to replace to get this badboy running. I may be asking for advice from some of you gurus. Seeing as I am a nOOb. Last RC car I owned was a Tamiya Blackfoot in like 1985 or something.
