Hey all,
Im considering building a track in my backyard. I do have a make shift track right now with ramps, but...Id like to go all out get the sewer line for the perimeter of the lanes, jumps whoops, ect....any one else ever set up a track in there yard? Would suck if i built all this and the neibors start complaining or worse the town shuts me down...what do u guys think the potential problems could be..?

It might be a good idea to consult your town and your neighbors first. It would suck ass to put it together and people start bitching.

ya i probly should my neibors next to me on both sides are cool, but its the neibor that backs to my yard i wonder about. I havent had any noise complaints yet...i usually get 3 cars going here on sunday. But with a track i would have alot of peeps wanting to come by im sure....which is the whole idea but it would have to be limited carefully not to piss people off.

There was a track that one of the dirtdawg members had in his yard and from what I understand people told the town to shut him down. I would talk to the neighbors to make sure they are cool with it and also check what the town laws are for noise problems.

There was a track that a club member had in this yard way out in what i beleive was the town of elburn, So you know the plots of land are huge that your house sits on. The neigbors complained and the township was involved. So i would explain to your neigbors just how noisey an r/c track could be!

Yes we did have problem with 1 neighbor. The city was involved as the polica also came out. It turned out that we where in no violation as far as the city was concerned. Because we started after 8 am and where done before 10pm. The track owner just decided to close it up just to keep the neighbors happy. He figured it just wsn't worth the BS for a few races a year at his house. So my suggestion is to first talkto your neighbors and your city zoning dept. If all else fails get the neighbors to buy some rc vehicles and ask them to play with you.

Well i was out in the yard today raking leaves my freind came over with his t maxx and his savage. When it just 1 or 2 cars its not so bad but its still enough to keep the neiborhood dogs barking lol. I think for now i may just have to keep it with movable jumps and obstacles.

Ya for now ive decided to make the track as interesting as i can with stuff that can be broken down. I'l finish the whoops and make some better wood ramps. It sure would be nice to seperate the lanes with something.. any ideas?
