Tmaxx 2.5 converted to dual brushless??
#1
Hey I gota old 2.5 roller laying around and I wanted a brushless maxx but don't wanna drop the cash seeing how I got a 3.3 and a mini in the last 6 months so I was thinking of making a motor plate for 2 brushless motors next to the stock transmission I figured I'd have to change the spur gear tooth count but would it even work? I've never realy tried anything like that so if u have any tips or ideas abut it please let me know thnax

Dual motors doesnt exactly have an advantage. You could go just as fast and have just as much torque by running a Mamba Monster Max 2200 combo and running 4s or 6s lipos.

Would a electric motor work with the nitro tranny? It seems like it could work but like at slow speeds it may not spin fast enough to engage the centrifical gears in the tranny? But I do wanna put the biggest fastest motor I can get if any one has a 3.3 tranny throw me a email with what u want I got tons of spare parts and stuff I'm kinda broke but could scrounge up some cash but back on topic if the nitro tranny don't spin how hard would it be to get a emaxx tranny in a tmaxx?

It would work the same as a nitro engine.

Basically, most nitro engines under load have a RPM range from 0 to about 30,000rpm to 35,000rpm depending on gearing. Unloaded they'll spin to 40+ but after that your con-rod my snap.

.21-.3x sized Nitro engine idle around the 5,000rpm mark, some faster than that even. They really don't start developing power till 10,000rpm+

Versus an electric motor that has 100% of its power available as soon as the motor turns.

what about braking tho? you will have to lock the gars inside if you want to brake with the electric motor.
