Can you race mini-t's?

My wife wants a mini-t (I have no idea why). I finnaly traded someone for one. I was curious, do they race these things?

Sure is a ton of upgrades available for them.

What do you guys suggest as far as batts for a mini-t? I was looking at these. Or can I just use 7.2 flat packs I use in other RC's?

Also, can I charge these with my MRC 969?

IRP is considering other types of racing this fall....other then 1/10th TC and 1/12th scale.

Nothing is for sure yet though. Tinley has a small party room they use in the bowling alley to race 1/18th scale micros and Mini-Ts. From what I gather there was usually enough guys running Ts to make 1 heat.

As for Leisure...they have not said whether or not there will be a MiniT class. I think it was really hit or miss there for MiniT racing. Their new track is not finished yet so it's hard to say what classes will be regular there.

I think they should just run all 1/18 at the same time. Cars and trucks at the same time. They could call it DuPage County class. The SUV's can try to crush the puny cars, and the zippy little cars can dart in and out, cutting off the lumbering trucks! If could be fun. To make it more fun the drivers could actually yell and flip each other off during the race. And if anyone gets too big a lead, they would have to drive while talking on their cell phone, eating, or reading. Anyone who runs a car with a Lexus, BMW, or Mercedes shell would get a free headstart at the start horn, because we all know they are in a bigger hurry because they're going somewhere really important and the rest of us should get out of their way. At least in this scenario, all the traffic would be going pretty much the same direction.

u cant use regular stick packs in a mini-t they use flat packs that are like smaller sized batteries, i race lots of 1?18 i got 3 mrs4s a rc18t and 2 mini-ts i love 1?18 cuz i can race em anywhere. but not u cant use the stick packs i would recommend getting a beast raptor motor from http://www.one18th.com they got a shop that sells em for fairly cheap or if u got money get the mamba its a brushless motor and esc combo for 130 in some places its only 100 but i cant give u that info cuz its too awesome jk just look around they r pretty fun to drive also definately dont use the AA cells u will get whooped like even by some nikko car thats not good lol that would put u to shame get a better motor fast cuz the stocker isnt fun dont get the team losi motor cuz its not worhth the money cuz for a bit more u can get a baja, a trinity, or a beast raptor.

If u got any further questioons im really into 1?18 so u can ask me anything i been doing it for bout a year now but i love it and its amazing and i got into it really fast and i now kno alot. lol

mortier u kno him? besides the point but ya im thinking about buying some like carpet scraps or w/e then making some peices i can seup on my porch (screened in) and drive there then i can go inside and out throught this huge sliding door i have which also has a littele lip i can make a ramp out of but ya ive made tons of jumps by taking some carpet and putting it over summin lots of fun.

Your still going need a receiver, steering servo and some juice(lipo's would be nice). or you can just get a beast raptor and a 7cell pack, some ball bearings and call it a day for now. thats what i did. I've got a huge to do list for my mini t, including that mamba 6800, li-po pack, ball diff, cvds, aluminum shock towers, and ti turnbuckles to name a few. with the upgraded motor this guy is pretty fragile so lots of aluminun is a no brainer.
