Ohh man.. something else to add.. just saw some idiot news reporter I think it was Bill O'Riley. His great idea was to not buy gas on sundays becuase it would send a message to oil companies. He's an idiot!!! when you buy the gas doesn't matter. Weather its sat or sunday or tues you will be buying the same gas spending the same amount of money either way. The real idea should be not to DRIVE on sundays. That would send a real message to oil companies becuse the consumption of gas would decrease on that one day.

Saw this on msn.com earlier. With inflation added, the highest cost for gas ever in the US was back in the early 80s. The national average was $3.11 in march of 81. We are not to far away from breaking the altime high in gas prices. What's the current average now? Last I checked it was $2.68. That won't last that long the way the current price is rising. Look out folks, we are getting ready to pay the most for gas EVER in america, and people still have the nerve to say, "deal with it. You shouldn't have bought a gas guzzler."

Well, I'm sorry for not realizing that gas would cost more that $3/g when I bought my trailblazer, or 3 mustangs before that .

That is all. Time to head off to the gas station and hand them $60 to fill my truck just so I can get to work .

geo metro is dead. I am however, considering on trying to get it running. 40+mpg looks very inticing right now, even if it is the slowest car on the road.

I've been reading all the posts for this and it just makes me angry thinking about the price of gas. In the Fox Valley area on Rt. 59 between North Aurora and 88 there are 4 gas stations. Prior to all this, those stations were within a few pennies of each other. Now there is a spread of 30 cents between them, I would like to know the reason for that. Also there is a Thorton's on North Aurora, they were usually lower in price now they are on the top at 3.33 per gallon. I don't understand that. I live in Aurora and work in Oak Park and at times prices of gas are lower in Bellwood and Maywood, I always thought that Cook County had higher gas prices than DuPage.

damn a hundred bucks how many gallons does your car hold and was it premium??? o and when i said solar power cars. i dont think solar powered cars are going to be the answer their just to impractical. the only reason why i mentiond them is because they are cool. but one other technology that i do think will happen soon is fuel cell cars. i was wondering did the price for fuel for a nitro rc car go up.

Only if it the companies that ship it on trucks pass the price along, otherwise nitro fuel hass no petroleum in it.

It's an Ford E250 van that I drive for work. Put in just over 30 gallons of the cheap grade.
