Tex Wrote:in RCCA they clocked the schumacher fusion at 65mph. They tried different gearing and everything.

Not sure where you saw 92mph but I'd have to see that to believe it. Gotta link? I'm interested
let me dig out my old magazines Tex, and I will look for that article that I read, with the thunder tiger .21 3 speed, I could of misread, and if I did, I apologize, but will double check!!

thanks! I thought you said 92mph

The article said the car has the capabilities to 80mph and out of the box "Schumacher Nitro Fusion tops out around 65-70 MPH."

Those vids didn't look like 80mph, but......

I read an article where it was clocked at 80+ mph...but in seriously modified form and it was in no way controllable.

Sounds perfect for our group....speed beyond control. I'll take it.

Seriously, anything that goes much faster than 60mph should have wings and landing gear on it.

I have ran my XR80 one time since I got it....there isn't really enough room to go flat out. I ran it in the biggest parking lot I could find and still couldn't get it into 2nd gear. There just isn't enough room to slow back down. Big Grin

It's cool to have something that fast and powerful, but it's a pretty usless R/C IMO.

I could make it shift a little sooner, but it does almost 50mph in 1st gear...I still need room for 2nd and room to slow back down.

I started to adjust the throttle speed settings on my M8 so it will automatically apply the throttle smoothly and graudal to control take off. All that power is hard to control from a dead stop. Also braking with a front oneway diff is a bit tricky (always wants to spin out) ajusting the EPA and ABS set up should help there. I just need more time to mess with it.

That thing is awesome looking. I would never have that kind of cash to just toss at an on-road though. I would love to pick up a cheap nitro on-road... just waiting for a deal to smack me in the face.

Depends on your definition of cheap??? I just sold a sweet RS4 Super Nitro for $250

See that isn't bad but if I can find a slightly less 'sweet' one for less that will still rip pretty well I would go for that. Doesn't need to be the fastest or best handling because it would just be for parking lot bashing... but I wouldn't want a complete POS. You know... something to get by...

Look on Ebay...I've seen some various nitro on-roads goin' for around $150...RTR, nothing special, but still decent.

I have a project rc in the works, a smartech FMT with a .15, but I am in the works of installing a torque .21 in it, only asking $100.00, thats what I used it for a basher, has 2 speed, shaft driven, needs throttle servo though, set up is identical to the rs4-3 for replacement parts if ya crash!! :headbang:

Oh on the RS4-3 speed project, I decided to go with the hpi .25, looking at the mad force 3 speed to install, I may have to make a custom chassis though, the ones from wolf radicals are a bit steep right now. Anyone with any ideas, all ears open!!!
