I swear I tried to break this thing today, my youngest was sick so my wife couldn't be there to operate the camera. I have no way to judge but the jump was like 4' so I think a couple of times the truck may have hit 15-20 feet. I was so sure something would be broken but nothing! I'm amazed..

I finished this one a couple days ago. Thought I'd put it up to see what you guys thought.
McAllister1/18th scale pan car for a brushless mini-t.
Hard to see, but there are air brushed skulls in the dark green sections.

  New Trucks from HPI

HPI 1/5-Scale Baja 5B

Another suprising release from HPI!!!!

Coming soon from HPI Racing is the Baja 5B, a giant Ready-to-Run 1/5 th scale off-road buggy that is nearly 32” in length! The big size allows the Baja 5B to go where smaller buggies can’t, and the driving experience is as close as you can get to the real thing.

The innovative design of the Baja 5B includes a rigid 8mm (!) aluminum alloy chassis for extreme durability. The fully adjustable suspension uses four “Hyper Adjust Piston” externally adjustable aluminum shocks that have 5 dampening settings and can be adjusted without removing the shocks. A Viscous Torque Control differential delivers the power to the rear wheels smoothly and uses hardened metal throughout the drivetrain for reliable performance. Special 3-piece beadlock wheels are included, so no glue is used to mount the tires, which makes changing the sticky HPI Dirt Buster tires quick and easy.

The included TF-10 radio system is FM for excellent range and includes an adjustable failsafe system for extra protection. The steering servo is a massive 25 kg-cm unit for quick steering and lots of torque. Standard equipment includes a 2000mah 6 cell rechargeable receiver pack and an AC charger. The radio system is protected by a sealed housing with an external charging jack, and both servos are water resistant designs that allow the Baja 5B to be driven in extreme off-road conditions.

Power comes from a massive 23cc “Fuelie” gasoline engine with plenty of power to make the Baja 5B feel as quick and nimble as a 1/10 th scale buggy. The Baja 5B runs for more than 30 minutes on a single tank of gas, and refueling with gasoline costs a fraction of nitro hobby fuel. The Fuelie engine includes a pullstarter, primer, choke, kill switch and a high performance dual element foam air filter.

Look for the Baja 5B to be released before the end of the year, price and part numbers will be coming soon!

HPI 1/8-Scale HellFire

HPI jsut released detail on their latest Nitro kit and from the specs it looks like fun

Coming soon from HPI Racing is the Hellfire, a purpose built, Ready-to-Run high performance, 1/8 scale four wheel drive monster truck. The Hellfire offers maximum performance in all conditions by combining the durability characteristics of the Savage with the agility of 1/8 scale buggies. The truck has a wide range of tuning adjustments, is extremely lightweight and features all-new suspension and steering geometries. It has been designed to allow for easier maintenance with simplified differential access, high quality hex hardware and no e-clips are used anywhere.

The Hellfire will sit along side the Savage in the HPI monster truck line-up. The Hellfire is fast, low and aimed at track enthusiasts, while the Savage is a proven “basher” with oversized durability and maximum ground clearance. Both trucks will be available in ready-to-run and kit versions.

Due for release before the end of the year, stay tuned for more information on the Hellfire.

Hellfire features:
