Customers Sit On Toilet Seats

KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan -- A trendy new restaurant in Taiwan is serving its food "in the can." That is, in tiny toilets.

People from all over Taiwan are coming to eat at the Marton Restaurant, where they serve their food in dishes shaped like toilet bowls.

Customers also sit on ornate toilet seats as they eat the soup, curry or ice cream.

The idea is to make it fun to eat, owners say.

But some customers are understandably turned off by the concept.

Branches of the restaurant are due to open in other major Taiwanese cities soon.

  bash spots?
Posted by: RobH - 07-17-2005, 06:43 AM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (7)

Are there any bash spots in or around Bolingbrook? I wanna give my maxx a good beating, but the only spot I know of is the berwyn one, and thats quite a drive.

Due to my work schedual I can pretty much never make it out to any RC gatherings which sucks.

There is a skate park a mile or so from my house, but if there is any bit of sunlight, there are 10+ people there. and its not that big, so thats out of the question.

What do you guys think of this?

I decided its time for change, I hate when I get that feeling. A guy has offered me a new OFNA Ultra LX Pro for my Stampede. Supposidely its new, not sure why he never used it but...

It's on the way, I guess I'll find out for sure when it gets here. From the pictures everything looks new except for the box.

  R/C Dad... question....
Posted by: thenewguy821 - 07-16-2005, 09:14 AM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (1)

First off, Sorry that Ron Paris Exhaust was not to your liking on the Mayhem...

That aside, Now that the bad plug has been replaced, I gave you a different Transmitter, and Off-road tires for better traction with the sportwerks.

How is it running? I felt bad when you told me of the problems you were having with it, because it had run great for me. It was my fault for not checking out the Radio gear when I switched out my Synth. radio.

  your opinion on this scenario
Posted by: grim digger - 07-16-2005, 12:35 AM - Forum: Off-Topic - Replies (11)

o.k. back before i changed jobs about 5 weeks ago,
one of my coworker at the parts store is a driver, but he answered the ad about 1 1/2 yrs ago for a parts whole sale counter man, turned out he could not cut it on the parts counter,so my boss had him become a driver instead delivering parts in a company car, since they liked him,now the other drivers we got have to use there own cars, well a yr and half goes by the kid is driving no problems, hes granted a weeks paid vacation no ther drivers get this, and sets it up for july, now he knows he is flying on his vacation,so he gets caught driving without a seat belt so he calls his mom ,by the way she is a cop,to pull strigs on getting the license back so he got this ticket while working in the company car, so we are some what busy counter he comes in we have orders waiting to go.
my boss starts to give him deliveries he starts to yell and get all exited that his license and the ticket and that his mom wants him right now to go to the station to get it,he did not even explain what really happened,so he just dropped the car keys and radio gear and ran out,in the mean time the boss is getting a little pissed since he just ran out,2 hours later he shows up i said to him that what he did was wrong,he is exact reply was "i do not care what you think" "i am on my way to vegas in 3 weeks and i need my license" i said you should of at least explained what happened, becuase otherwise he complains that he does not get enough hours, his reply "so",well he got sent home after that
well the following week after that last stunt,he gets into a accident in the company car, again he comes in barging blurring out crap that did not make sense that he could not deliver parts since "someone hit him and ran"
well i am a estimater on parts and paint work at the shop,me and the boss both took one look and knew he hit someone instead of the story he said, the boss told him that he would have to pay for the major damages mainly the headlight that was it,he did not say anything i met up with him fishing and told me what realy happened him rear ended some one and was not paying attention at a stop sign, his mother said that had to make a police report,of the false accident, and he claimed that boss said no,which was a lie since i was there and he said that he would make one but never went, now him and his mother are talknig about he is not responsible for accident since it was a company car "by law" crap she planted in his head, mean while he was not charged for the parts since we could not find a single parts dealer or junk yard that had a subaru headlight assembly, until this week that i got a call from him saying that they took his vacation pay which was 32 hours at $6.00 for the fees of the headlight which was $220.
now at this point he told the boss that he was not paying for it,they chatted a bit and he told the boss that he had insurence on the cars so why not let the ins, take care of it? the boss said sure if your paying the $500 deductable, the boss then said that he would have to drive his own car from now on ,he said no,and then told the boss "that he was firing him?" the boss said no that he would have to use his own car only now,and since he lied about the accident and then he said "so what it is still not my car" but the boss told him he should of not of lied about the story, so he gets mad,and walks out ,now he wants me to help him with unemployment i said hell no,you see with everything that goes on at the store these people all in all where actually pretty fair with him, they did not charge him the corning lamps,or the bumper cover that ripped,or even the fender that is all beat in,but since his vacation got closer his job performance dropped ,only thing he cared about was vegas, vegas is over and its time to come back to the real word,he lives with mom and his girlfriend with child, his last job he milked unemployment from home depot now he at it again, first he says not enough hours so they give him more then he complains that he has to go since his girl has to go to work,so they cut him back so he can go early to baby sit,
what do you guys think of this mess?

NEW! Panther Boa Maxx size MT tire
Posted by: Blown5.0 - 07-15-2005, 10:56 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (1)

I saw them advertised on amainhobbies.com. Kinda interesting.

These tires are the latest hot tire from Panther and have a racing tread pattern similar to the very popular Komodo Dragon 1/8 scale buggy tires and Python Monster Truck tires for incredible traction! This tire was designed to fit standard MAXX sized rims but be thinner in profile profile than the regular MAXX Bow Tie tires, measuring 5.7" tall and 2.75" wide. Perfect for carrying maximum corner speed on the track! This new tire also has a reduced tread "core" thickness which dramatically reduces the overall weight of the tire, which weighs a scant 135 grams.

  Not impressed
Posted by: Obsessive R/C - 07-15-2005, 10:55 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (7)

I just finished installing a Sirio .18 in my T-Maxx. It's already broken in, fired up w/ one pull, tuned it up...good temps, a little slow on throttle response still but it seems to run pretty good. The only thing is that my 2.5R would smoke this thing!! Way more low end, wheelied on any surface...the Sirio...nada... no wheelies!!! pulls hard after a softer start (slipper is almost locked) but doesn't seem to have alot of bottom end. The 2.5R still seemed faster. Maybe I've overlooked something or it needs a better tune...but if this is all it's got...I'm not impressed.
