Took the whole family to my kids school yard today. They have this packed dirt ramp at one corner of the yard that is so excellent. My wife with her stock pede found it exciting to run up it but me with my BL pede I'd launch off of it and clear over the fence behind it. Tomorrow we're bringing the video camera. You guys would love this!!
I busted a castor block and bent a shock but I really enjoyed getting so much air.

Buggy racer setup question. |

I'm going to be rebuilding the GS storm this week in hopes of racing next weekend at the rock pile (the madison, wi track).
For the buggy racers here, where would be a good place to start in regards to diff oil weight, suspension setup, brake bias, and any other tunable aspect for buggies?

"thenewguy" sent me this address way back in February on the Traxxas forums. I told him I was interested in finding some Chicago R/C enthusiasts because I might be going to school in Chicago, and well it looks like that's what is going to happen!
I'm still not sure if pursuing the hobby is going to work out my freshman year but if it does I'd really like to get to know the local R/C community and I figured this would be a good place to start.
Anyway, I've been in the hobby for a few years but due to highschool I had to drop it for a while. This past year I picked up a Revo and have been having a blast ever since and I hope that I will still be able to enjoy the hobby when I come to Chicago.
Anway, thanks for reading this and hopefully I will see you guys in the not too distant future.
~Gonzo.

The Beer Test |

Yesterday scientists suggested that, considering the results of a recent
analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer, men
should take a concerned look at their beer consumption.
The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain
phytoeostrogens) and drinking it makes men turn into women. To test the
theory, 50 men were fed 6 pints of beer each within a one hour period.
It was then observed that 100% of the men:
-talked excessively without making sense;
-became overly emotional;
-couldn't drive;
-failed to think rationally;
-argued over nothing;
-had to sit down while urinating;
-and refused to apologize when obviously wrong.>
No further testing was considered necessary

THE CAR is in great shape, this is only my second BRAND new buggy I have ever owned (BRAND new, I have owned many other buggies and RC cars/trucks in the last 12 yrs), so it was built meticulously with a lot of time and patience. Everything is thread locked, every little detail worked on with great thought.
Hops installed include
· Mugen Prospec fuel tank
· Lightened pillow balls
· Lightened wheel hubs
· Lightened wheel nuts
· Carbon Fibre towers
· Lightened engine mounts
· TTR Ballraced steering plate
No body/tires/electronic/engine.
$450 shipped to your door.
Also got a bunch of misc stuff..
ENGINES. The OS RG is closest to a running engine. It requires breakin after it was pinched the end of last year. There is a new con rod to go with this engine for after break in. The other two engines are OS RZ V01B engines, one is a spare with no piston/sleeve/rod, the other was my race engine until it sucked up some dirt. It will require a new piston/sleeve/rod probably.
PIPES installed is an RB 9886 one piece polished pipe. Also have a RB 9863 joiner pipe with manifold.
SERVOS Installed are two Airtronics servos, one 94357 Servo with a 125oz/.07 spec, the other is a 94358 with 200oz/.1 spec. these are some of the best you can get and have never let me down. Also included is a flat receiver pack.
· Raytek temp gun (has initials and spray paint on)
· Glow starter (spray painted)
· Tuning driver (practically new)
· Wheel wrench that came with the kit
Kanai Shocks - socks, blue springs, plenty of spares. (4 shocks, 2 front 2 rear)
.21 Air filters - one RB Filter house and neck, and plenty of spare filter elements, some used, some not.
JR Servo 4750 - both mounting eyes on both sides broken off. Sold as is.
Ofna 8th scale starter box. Bought used last month, no need for it now.
Getting out of hoby for a while.
Email me at [email protected]
Will have pics by this afternoon.
