July 4th weekend. The next big berwyn bash/bbq? |

Is anyone interested in doing another big bash/bbq at berwyn like we did a few weeks ago? I figure what better time to have another big bash than on our country birthday.
It could take place either saturday (2nd), sunday (3rd), or monday (4th). Depending on schedules.
What do you guys think? If enough people say "let's do it!", let's pick a date and I'll post it up on the frontpage to get some exposure. We had a big turnout last time. It would be nice to match or beat that!

Time to part with the savage... |

So, today I was outside for some test and tune with the savage. First off, it took me 20 minutes to start it . Once I finally got it started, I was driving it around and monitering the temps. They were stable at around 220-230. Not bad I say, no point in making adjustments, it's running good.
I decided to just drived it around and use up the remainder of the tank. 3 minutes later, under full throttle, the engine just stops!!. I went over to it, tried to pull the pullstarter. Well what do you know, the freaking thing is SEIZED!! Not even a 1/2 gallen used up (including break in) and the motor is toast. I'll get some pics up this weekend after I take the motor out of the truck. I'm dissapointed with sh to say the least.
I vowed that this will be the last engine I put in this savage, and now since it's toast, I'm gonna sell the truck as a roller and every part in my inventory for it. Rocco, if you're reading this, what are my chances of sending this motor in to sh and getting a new one? What do I need to know? It would be nice to recoup some or all of the cost for it.
My plans for this weekend and maybe next are screwed as I have nothing to run . I'll be out for the final race on sat at leasure, no berwyn this sunday, and possibly no monster jam or wisconsin next weekend either. What a time to blow up a motor!
Time to start searching for my next off-road project.

I have tried to post on the Showmerc forum but it just doesn't work.
Anyhow, understand that a lot of people (6-8) are going up to http://www.marcca.com 6/5. I'm going with Lance and David 5/29 also, if anyone is interested. My new TZ is pretty much broken in and I should have my new Vantage carbon fiber Revo chassis this weekend-definately by 6/5!
Let's get a big crew and show them how WE race!!

Hey,
i was tightening my diff yesterday and all of a sudden something popped and my diff gear wasnt meshing with the other gears. so i took it apart and the screw that holds everything together came out. so i tried for like three hours trying to screw the thing back in but it seems like the screw that holds the diff together. and the spring in the diff wont compress at all i stepped on it with a piece of wood and it dented the wood. do you guys know any tricks on how to get the diff to screw in. thanks
~Noto
