For those with pics from the dirtdawgs race...
Posted by: Mr. Tune - 04-10-2005, 10:29 PM - Forum: Off-Topic - No Replies

Anyone with pictures from the race please post here so I know who you are. I created a category in the gallery for the dirt dawgs race.

If they are large in size (for those who took pics with the resolution turned all the way up) and taken from a far away spot (the trucks are small), email them to me so I can cut out the empty space to maximize use of the auto resizing feature the gallery has.

Other wise, get them in there!

o.k. we went out there today i got a better look at the area on alomst every jump there is a dip after it ,thats not an issue the issue is that those dips are filling up with water and whats it been 4 -5 days since we had a major rain fall? and it's not a few inches it's 6-10 deep and about 4-6 ft long depending on which spot you land in .an atv'er was there running along the r/r tracks, which brings me to another issue i dont know about the rest of you guys but the thought of a train coming thru and we are so close to the tracks i do not feel comfortable, not a good spot for kids or for bbq'ing, parking sucks also, this would be good if you have nothing better to go to,
so think we need to seek out other locations,LOL

Lets see a show of hands...

How many people hear test and tune out in front of their house and run through 3-4 tanks with their trucks without a single problem? No breakage, stalling, nothing. You get to the track to racing feeling confident, then the problems start when it matters most. Seems to happen to me week in and week out.

For those who know what I'm talking about raise your hand.

found a new open lott to bash in!
Posted by: rusty savage - 04-09-2005, 04:37 PM - Forum: Bashers Forum - No Replies

the back parking lot of may wood race track is sweet! its off north ave and first (river rd). you can park between target and jewel osco. its huge, no pot holes, min. gravel, you get to chase a butt load of sea gulls! there is also a bunch of gravel off to the side for some fun crawling!!! i just ran two packs through the mini quake after picking up some meds for the mo-in-law. no one from jewel/target/ or the race track gave me any hassle at all!

  No more 20% nitro...hello 30%!
Posted by: Mr. Tune - 04-08-2005, 08:13 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (2)

I picked up some o'donnells 30% from al's yesterday, so today I decided to run out the remaining 20% that I had so it doesn't go to waste Smile. After three tanks of test and tune I had it dialed down. The truck was running awesome. Best it has in a long time!!

Well, the 20% ran out, so I cracked out the new 30% bottle Cool. With a real good tune on 20%, swithing to the 30% made it rich on the low end and high end. Is it normal to a truck with equals settings to run richer with the higher nitro content? First I started leaning out the HSN a little at a time until I liked it. The truck is straight flying now  and it's only reading 220 on my temp gauge. Cool! After a few high speed passes that left me with a smile, ear to ear, I started fooling around with the LSN. The truck would load up fairly fast, a little too fast for my taste, so I started leaning that out as well.

When all was said and done, I say to hell with 20%! The truck is idling great, accelerates harder at every rpm than before and the engine doesn't skip a beat.

Time to terrorize at the dirt dawg race tommorrow! Wink
