Ok, obviously anything I say will be observed as 'taking a shot'. For some reason my opinion here has always been so.
I don't plan to go to LHR and run to Bernie with complaints when I see something wrong. I will however walk up to the drivers stand and run my truck without the need of the frequency issue in the future.

if you have a complaint why don't you go to the lhr website and post on their forum. bernie seems to visit that more often, and can answer your complaint or question directly.

RC Dad, get used to it. Having an opinion other than the commonly shared one is considered unacceptable in these parts.
PS. I now see what these little red/green dots mean. Ohhhhh, did I hurt someone's feelings by having an independent thought? I'm so glad to see that freedom of thought and speech is alive and well in the midwest. I now am seeing how Hitler got into power.

Also, we have to keep in mind that today was a RACE day. I'm sure that had a lot to do with any problems that may have been encountered. From what I understand, there were people there from quite far away, and tuning is a bigger issue when traveling a distance. What might be a perfect tune here (Chicagoland area) may be way off from settings people are running in Southern Illinois, or Indianapolis area. Humidity differences, Temperature differences, etc.
For the time that I was there today, the racing was quite good. I stuck around through most of the firtst qualifying heats. There was a Big turnout. I think there were 5 Buggy heats, 2 Stadium truck heats, 2 Unlimited heats. and 2 or 3 MT heats. Racing started around 11:15, and I left at 1:20 and there was still one more MT qualifier for the first round.

Quote:No offense But what Grievance could a person have with the new facility?!?!????! The new Leisure Hr. is quite possibly the BEST r/c facility in the UNITED STATES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im in no way a well traveled r/c racer but i have been to a couple places outside chicagoland and well, quite frankly you and anyone else who has felt the need to voice your nit picky complaints have NO IDEA how good we have it here!!!!!!!! Many other r/c track dont even have a hobby store within an hr of the track! let alone heated drivers stands, A/C pit areas oh and INDOOR PLUMBING!!!!!
ROCCO...
QUICK................
PUT THE NYQUIL DOWN and call 911
Your Hallucinating dude! :o:
Of all the LH posts ANYWHERE.............there isnt ONE that takes a shot at the LH FACILITY
A nice track, heated stands, flushing toilets and a hobby store nearby alone, will NEVER make or break a track.......... if the people that USE that facility give a rats a$$ only about themselves and their close circle of buddies.
Read it again slowly..... I said ..................the people that USE the track.
Take a trip and leave the farm, visit a few more tracks. Some offer far less niceities and can be just as much, if not more FUN...................A building or track by itself itself is but stone, dirt, and or metal. That same building or track will not by itself make or break a FUN day of racing.
Jims place in Bolingbrook, Radioactive Raceways was a classic example.
TINY indoor track..........what was it 60 or70 X 30 or 40?
No Air cond......a barely flushing toilet.........and the winters heat was supplied by body heat at times. A "hobby shop" on site that would take up a small corner of the new LH Bathrooms.
40-50 a Sunday would cram into THAT place and have FUN with RC cars. There was NO track in the area that was more FUN to run at........................for EVERYONE
And WTF?

Good God! Look at that pit room!!! I had better get there really early for the trophy race. Too bad I had to blow up the rear wheel on my bike or I would have had enough cash for Mike Czech to paint me a body. (I will be heading your way shortly)
(And Teamt Triple Threat... I have some blow-off days for finals this week so I plan on working on the logo... then Tommy can iron. LMAO)

The track was real wet IMO, I was slipping and sliding out there dodging cars
I got there at like 5 till 8 and there were about a half dozen cars waiting. Some people had their gear sitting right outside the door.
It sure was much colder and windy there than it is where I live.

Track was hooked up, traction was normal. Of course as the day goes by the track always dries a little but it's never "dry"

I wanted to say thanks to the Leisure Crew for a good time as always. Bernie, Mike and John you guys rock. =)
Some good racing yesterday. Conrats to Slim on making the A-main. Go X-ray !!!!! Congrats to all the winners.. Sonny O, man that LSP rips dude.
Thanks Chris (Sh1nn3r) for the great job helping me pit all day even tho I knew you had to get your stuff ready for your heats..... much apprecaited dude. Thanks again.
101 entries for a club race. WOW !!! Not sure if the LH crew expected such a huge turn-out, but a smooth running show none the less.
Looking forward to next week's Trophy race !!!!!
Thanks again Mike and Bernie, you have a top notch facility !!!!!!

I'm only good for a few hours 3pm at the latest. I'm just eager to run the truck around the track.

Qualified 6th in MT and finished 2nd yesterday . Finally got the truck where I like it and I'm looking to tear it up in the upcoming weeks.
Gotta send out a big thank you out to TEX. He only came to watch and ended up helping a few us out by pitting for us during the main. Thumbs up from me!
