Well after abusing this Toyota bodied Pajero for a few years. Jim bugged me and decided it was his turn to take over to rebuild the poor truck. He described to me a Scale truck buildup unlike any other, so I let him get started.
After removing the grill and windows he started on some Bondo work to the body, to remove some fender rust and repair some trail damage.
While taking a break from sanding Jim soon realized that he needed greater head room and that the steering servo was a pain in the *** and would need to be relocated to under the hood.
Jim then thought of the brilliant idea to use this race/bling style wheelchair as a racing seat. His plan is to install a nice interior and Lexan windows for more comfort.
When I got home from work I shocked Jim with a new 34x9.50x15 TSL Bogger tire to test fit to the chassis.
Jim quickly put himself to work pumping the floor jack and removing the wheel.
I heard Jim exclaimed WOW! it looks mean! You must get the other 3 tires!
After reinstalling the worn BFG's I caught him testing the flex. Soon after, the hot neighborhood girl came by his garage asking what was going on. They soon got to talking and Jim convinced her to pose for him on the truck.
More work to be done soon....

This morning I found Jim asleep in my Bruiser.
The flash of the camera woke Jim up and he was ready to go.
Jim started disassembling the wheel chair.
He then removed the steering servo and radio box.
After clearing the way he hoisted the seat into position.
During his lunch break he realized that the seat was not mounted low enough to keep he head out of the sun roof.
So after removing the seat, he got the safety glasses and Dremel tool out. He then went to work cutting the servo mounts from the frame.
He then tested the fitment. I helped him lower the body to the frame. Perfect!
He reclined the seat back and dreamed of himself pimping the truck around town.
After such a successful day in the shop he celebrated with a few dark beers.
He then was so smashed he could hardly stand up.
I guess he needs to sober up.
More later...

That's a long way to chase after your truck if it falls over and decides to go down the hill.

Jim was sobered up and cleaning the truck up when I got home. He used the jack and wrench to remove the tires so that he could scrub the truck down good.
I showed up with yet another tire choice. Jim was still liking the boggers better though.
He picked up the mop and went to work scrubing the chassis.
He sprayed the chassis down with Simple Green.
That Simple Green stuff burns your nose.
Jim got it cleaned up nice.
Jim thought about putting the tires on but figured he better tackle that worn tierod end first.
Jim broke it loose but was out of luck till Monday because the LHS is closed on Easter. He plans to reengineer the steering system with Traxxas Heim joints and custom billet pieces. The old system was so sloppy he was playing pinball with the lanes while driving.
More to come...

Really cool man, stuff like this is too cool to me, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I look forward to whatever else Jim does to fix the truck up.
