Ok I have a couple of q's;
Are the stock foams fine to run?
Do I have to cut down the bead or can I run it as tall as it is now?
Thanks.

What wheel? On Velo's the tire doesn't fit tight to the wheel. This is to allow easier gluing, according to Panther. I emailed them and they verified it. Do not trim the bead. It will not fit the wheel right if you do.
Stock foams are fine.

There is at least one other thread on here about this glue channel detail. Search and ye shall find!

dont use panther foams. They suck and will break down in like a day or less. I heard tons of people at round 1 in the pro series also sharing recent stories of bogus panther foams. Get the RE foams and stuff them in there. Those foams are dialed and last gallons

Give them a call and they will send you out new ones.
Just tell them the foams broke down. Mine did in less than a half gal of fuel.
I called and they are sending me new ones out today.

Ok then I have the new ones.
I also bought some PL greys. Should I use those or the panther? I think the pl would be better but IDK.

Ok guys- I have a little question. The PL foams are about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wider than the Panther's. Should I cut them or just stuff them in?

stuff 'em in. Just be careful not to glue 'em to the wheels.

I would use the panther foams myself, I've heard they work good if they are the "good" ones. They will last the life of the tire.

Final Awnser Gabe? My tire's life rests in your hands.
LoL
Yeah I still haven't glued 'em up (no reason to yet) so I am open to opinions.
I just don't like how the PL's sit in there stuffed in. The tire is not nice and round, it's got like a divot down the centerline of it. I've tried massaging the foam but no real help.I was thinking (uh oh right?)- What if I took a strip of the PL foam and ran it around the center outside of the panther foam, to get a nice round carcass? J/w.

Did you tape them on the inside?

Nope no tape Dave...I don't do well with tape. I end up making the tires uneven and stiff.

get the racers edge and be done with it. Its the only foam il run from here on out. My last 3 panther tires all had the bad foams in them. The proline only last a gallon or 2 before they were gone. My RE still feel like new after a weekend at the pro series.

Racers Edge do wear out over time it just take 3-5 gallons depending on the use.
