I would like to try my hand at racing. I will trade my beloved Savage, with every non-bling upgrade, for a good buggy or truggy (prefered).
Off hand it has:
Hitec 5645 MG servo
HPI HS2 for throttle
dual disk brakes - in package
4 spider diff mod
Imex pipe
K 4.6 motor - low milage
Trinity dual stage foams
HPI servo saver upgrade
HPI motor stop
HPI motor saver filter
HPI HD outdrives
Newer bearings throughout
Fail safe
RX pack
Rebuilt shocks
Traxxas steel ball ends replacing plastic ones throughout
RC Screws
Fuel filter
New Nova clutch
Nova head
Airtrinics MX3 FM radio
Etc...
Plut a whole but load of spares, etc
ULTIMATE BASHER!
I would like a comparable buggy, truggy, revo that I can attempt to race with.
Let me know!
Thanks
Mike

Yeah, but only if I can get a remotely competative ride LOL!
I think I can throw in some cash too for the rite ride. I would really like to try out a Revo, or truggy! I am aware of the difference in price between a Savage and a competative racing truck or buggy.

Savage deal pending. I am trading for a GS Storm SUT with an XTM 24.7 in it. With some racing wheels and tires, I should be ready to be hacked in no time.

SUT's are like 3 years out dated and you will be the only one out there with one (for good reason). They simply are not competative against the new breed of truggies.
Not trying to be an ass just trying to save you time and money. I would rather race the savage.

I know. but the Savage is just way too big and top heavy to race. I just want to have some fun out there without spending too much (read "any")money. No one wants to trade a new truggy for a Savage, and with the new Savage X there is no market for mine. So I will be happy just to have something that can go around the track without rolling over LOL! If I finish a race, and decide that I like it, then I will consider investing in a competative machine.

I hear you is it an older storm. Is it a pro or an rtr version. Or is it a cl version. Was it a buggy converted to an SUT?
I had a storm and I never liked it never really jumped well, had to do back flips all the time just to land it. Plus the plastic was real brittle.
But in the end its really what makes you happy, You can pick up a used lsp for probably 200-250 and it would be MORE better than a SUT

+ 1 Trillion...... SUT=Crap IMO, had one, couldn't give it away here or anywhere else for thatmatter. It was new, had less than 10 runs on it. It was like driving a brick, didn't jump well, is WWWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYY out dated IMO. Just my .02 worth. I would hold out for somthing else. In fact I'd take that dirt deamon for sale here before I'd take SUT again.

Well that'l teach me. I should have asked for opinions earlier because I know knothing about truggies and racing these days. All I did was look it up on truggyracers.com and people who owned them seemed to still like them. Live and learn. I would have gladly traded for something like an LSP if anyone would have been willing. For now, I dont know if racing is for me, but perhaps I will manage to finish a race or two and have some fun with it.

You can still have fun with it. I wouldn't put it in the competative racer group, but the few I would run with were absolutely bomb proof. They ripped and were a lot of fun. Again, we were just bashing at the time but I would think that that truggy would handle better than your Savage as they are currently setup. Play with it for a while and then move onto bigger and better things....
