boy am I glad I race in the class with the least hacking....seems as if some people have no idea what is and what isn't hacking.....
For instance if your racing into a corner, and you hook your front tire on the rear tire of the guy in front because you think you have the inside line, that is blatent, neglegant, hacking... If your front tire hits his rear tire, HE'S IN FRONT OF YOU, that is not your line, it's his.......
This is open wheeled racing, act like it....you don't see F1 cars "rubbing" do you? With open wheeled cars a bump or rub usually turns into a wreck....(for both people)
Everyone makes mistakes but come on...... racing clean and close is WAY funner than going for that quick pass when your not sure if you'll make it.
Casketman, your comment about being mad at marshals is just down right funny....why would you ever be mad at a marshal because YOU wrecked?
They didn't get it fast enough for you?
It's your fault they had to go get it anyway, they should be mad at you for having to run around and pick up your slack.
Especially if someone gets hacked and both people wreck, any good marshal will get the hackee back on track first before he gets the hacker set straight, even if the hacker is way closer to the marshal. I see hacking everytime I marshal and the hackers do not get marshaled as well by me, plain and simple.
being over zealous and neglegant is hacking.....it's not fun for anyone
I'll mention it again, try going a full race day without touching ANYONE, the whole day. It's fun and builds your skill a lot more. It allows you to have practice racing really close to people and that is where the fun is.
Making that quick pass through the chicane gives you a burst of adrenaline, racing close to someone without touching for minutes at a time produces WAY more adrenaline.
you'll notice at practice sessions the "fast" guys will stay together a lot of the time on the track, if one wrecks, the other guy waits for him and they continue with the train.....they do that for a reason....IT'S FUN....adrenaline pumps hard the entire time.
