hobbico or great planes as it is known purchased the recipe and name for odonnell fuel after many years of distributing the fuel, which in turn allowed steve odonnell enough free time to design an 1/8 buggy. while it is true that the car will be marketed through great planes it was not designed by hobbico.
i think the car looks reall good and i believe when i get mine i am going to run 3 or 4 fuel filters. we all truly see what happens when you revolutionize the 1/8 scale, the s3 was the first car to do what everyone wanted to see and made a wicked ass chassis that proved in the real world to not work as good as hoped. look at the popularity difference between the mbx5 and the x5r. it the R has a few refinements but is basically the same car. there is a plan for 1/8 scales and if anyone thinks someone is gonna come out with something totally mind numbing and new I think there crazy. all cars a kyosho copy when you get down to it. just my rant
ever since duratrax started making the fuel i stopped liking it.....im not even ball busting.
Ur right on the everything is a kyosho cuz it is, the kanai version were THE buggies to run, now adays companies are just going to make them better, without shit happening like "you dont know how to set up ur linkage so ur servos blow" Or "Ur chassis cracked cuz it has a big ass piece of aluminum machined into it" or "Your fuel tanks crack because we are TM and can make Euro cars for the US tracks" LOL
