LOL
I'd like to thank the club for allowing us non-members to have the pleasure of racing within the clubs borders and giving us a chance to run on its track. (Thanks also to the owner of the land for his generosity) Its too bad the bulldozer will be leveling it out soon cause now there just is not a whole lot of options to race. The LH track is coming along very good and Bernie and Mike are doing a great job and working very hard to get it open in time just before X-mas. As I could see it they are very close to finishing in that duration. I had a great time today as well as my group of guys that had the same pleasure of being there. We all new what the weather would have in store but we tried to make the best of it. No matter how hard you try, mother nature will always win. Just deal with it. I would have loved to had run the A-main and try to put on a good show for some of the guys just getting into the racing aspect of RC. It only helps those that want to learn the fundamentals of competing at a somewhat high level of competition. Being a good pitman is just as important as being a good driver, I gave up my driving spot to pit for my racing buddy Sonny O as he needs to be in top form and sharpen his skills for the RCPro finals in Cali. Nothing could be more worse than to not be prepared mentally for competition at the highest level. Too bad the computer and the heavy part of rain ended it way too early as everybody wanted to watch it, including me. Thats life. So we continued at Hooters and 120 wings and 5 pitchers of beer later, we all agreed that the DD's are a great bunch of lads.
Thanks for having us. Fellow racer, JT
