if your not a good tuner yourself, PLEASE don't give advice on tuning. I'm not saying anyone in this thread is doing that but that's my take on it. I woul;d hate to see the guy lean his truck out and blow the motor. What if his truck is already too lean on the bottom end? what if it's currently lean bogging on takeoff?
Unless your absolutely sure, never just say "lean this or that". We haven't even got a really good description of the symtoms yet from LastGTA.
If your tuning for 30 mins and have no success then your not turning the needles enough. Alot of beginers are scared to really turn the needle because they fear they will lose whatever tune they have currently or that they will screw the truck up forever. That's not the case. Don't be scared to turn your needles a full 1/8-1/4 turn at a time.
LastGTA,
Do you have really sluggish or really great takeoff? (1st 1-3 seconds after mashing throttle)
Does your truck switch into second gear in a timely manner, if it switches at all? (estimate in seconds after mashing throttle from complete stop)
Do you ever go full speed (WOT) to clear the motor out of excess fuel build up?
What fuel (% and brand), and what glow plug (brand and temp/model number) do you use?
When you do a full speed pass does it seem to have the speed it should have (it should be really pretty fast) or does it seem sluggish or "cut out"? if it cuts out at high speed (meaning it's starving for fuel) your majorly lean on the HSN.
We can continue to ask questions like these to better help determine an answer to getting this fixed for you.
