I walk down the stairs and shut my car off and then immediatly bring my controller and car back to the pit room by my spot. Then I set it down on the table and immediatly get back out to marshal. Theres nothing wrong with bringing your stuff back to the pits as long as you only drop and go. I only do this to try and leave room for the next guys trying to get there cars started and going.
And Bernie nobody is complaining about the announcing. The announcing is awesome at your track. What they were trying to say is they dont like hearing them announcing for marshals for the next 5 minutes. Its not LHR fault for the marshaling problem. Like you said its a problem at all the tracks. Drivers should have the courtesy and respect to finish a tank of fuel and then go marshal for a tank of fuel. I think the only FAIR way to settle this is not to marshal for the guys who dont marshal. The way i do my marshing for practice is once i run out of fuel I watch for somebody who is just getting on the stand and marshal untill he runs out of fuel. That way im marshalling just as long as I was driving.
