Well I actually didn't speak to the kid, just her.
And there was no way I was giving up my prize curb find. That kids face tugged at my strings, but I was grounded in my decision by then. You cant claim I saw it first so its mine. Besides, I not only got it first, but saw it first as well. And no way was that lady going to give it up if the situation was reversed. I coulda told her my kid had cancer and his dying wish was to have that toy and I highly doubt she would have surrendered it.
In addition, were I to discover somone beating to the toy, I would have just kept driving. No way would I have stopped and tried to confront someone over it. Mostly, I was shocked at actually being confronted over a curb find.
