hey, idk what's goin on with my friend and the buggy thing, but which would be better for a good bashing session thingy...to go off a big ramp and not break too much. im not lookin for too much speed, to much speed prolly isn't good if im new to nitro.
I dont plan to race for...quite a while and i hope to get the truck around christmas time, it not a lil later, thx guyz!! :wavey:

well the revo is gonna be better for a basher but the buggy is gonna have the durability it sounds like you want. Only problem with the buggy is you can only drive on a mostly smooth surface. You can still go through grass and maybe some small dirt trails but but thats about it. Revo you can literally go anywere and bash it.

Couldnt you get the buggy and turn it into a truggy? Best of both worlds?
Not that I know what I am talking about or anything. Cause I dont.

As I see it...buggies will take all the height you'd want....cartwheel like crazy...land on the wheels AND drive away. Monster trucks break often on BIG jumps. Although a select few modified MT's will survive.

Your supposed to bottom out and buggies will jump higher and farther than MT's, no problem.

yeah, i've seen those videos and the car looks like it lands just terribly and the body falls off, which is nothin and i saw a MT jump about....15 feet, land just as bad as the buggy and he broke the suspension arms and one of the shocks. :bustingup
what do u guyz mean by "bottom out" a buggy?

"bottom out" is when the chassis hits the ground. Its not just buggies that do it either. Any RC can and should bottom out the chassis before the shocks run out of travel.

oooh ok, that was my guess but ya gotta check up ya know? i was at the lhs and i looked at some buggies....they looks pretty durable, the parts were thick and looked much stronger then the t4 and it looks like a good investment, this one came with everythig and was 275 or 375, which isn't too bad but it stinks cuzz i can't remember what kinda buggy it was, i think it was an ofna but im not sure
i'll write stuff down next time

hey leave the savage alone, when we raced in st. louis my savage didn't break, motor sucked, but it didn't break. on my buggy i snapped a drive shaft and stripped out one of the screws for the knuckle. ii wasn't jumping either i was being gentle to get a feel for the track. i/m/h/o get a good buggy and turn it into a truggy, or get a revo(if you plan on racing someday) or if you just want to bash and want durability get a savage!! j/k i have a savage but would love to get a revo to! six has a really good truggy for sale!

sounds like you saw the MSR kit. That is a truggy kit you utilize on a MBX5 buggy. So you need the buggy to use that kit.

So if you turn a buggy into a truck it's a truggy. If you turn a Revo into buggy is it a Bevo?
