Great job keeping the thing organized Tex!
Always fun meeting new people, and seeing all the 'usual suspects'. :p:
I posted a bunch of pictures over at

Hopefully wont take forver for a new video! =)
Brian
Brian, I helped with the burning of the food, I mean cooking....sorry if anyone didn't feel too good when they got home. If it looked undercooked you prolly shouldn't have eaten it. Seriously, I had fun trying to juggle burgers, brats, and dogs for you guys, and I'd do it again in a minute. Mike, thanks for the beer to help me through it! Next time I'll make the chili and I DO have the habaneros from the garden so WATCH OUT!
Brian, great pictures of the action. with so much going on it was hard to see everyone's truck in action. The pictures bring a lot of life to those guys trucks I only saw parked. Did anyone take a group shot photo before the day ended?

I gotta give it up for Tex, who took this bull by the horns and really put things together. It was my first meet with eveyone, so still a little crazy for me. I usually just bash in the back yard. Anyways good to meet the few guys that I did.
Wish my bro and I could have stayed longer, but with the fuel delivery problems I was having with savage and the burned up LST trans there was really nothing I could do but sit around. The funny things is I just had both truck running the past few weekends, then when you really want them to, they don't. It was fun. Maybe at the next one we can really put the trucks to the test.
Thanks again to everyone for making this fun and enjoyable!!!!!

The bash was great. Tex great job being the "Host". The only thing that would have made it better is if I didn't have to rebuild my "for crap" pull starter. To borrow a line from Waterboy, pull starters "Are the devil".
But MUCH thanks to Darrin for use of his starter box, and Matt for the starting it given my frustration with that &^$%^##(*#&*^#*@____*#*&@%@$@#! Pull starter.
Next time me and SUT will be ready for a bit of drag racing. Maybe even some slaloms with cones.

I had about 40 cones in my car. We just never got around to doing it. Next time.

I got there with my buddy Pat. I brought the Revo and the Mayhem. I planned on running the Revo because Pat didn't have a starter box (Pull Starter broke) I'd have to config the starter box for his Hyper7, plus I didn't have another spektrum Rx for the buggy. That was ok. I assumed that the tall grass would bog the buggies down. That wasn't the case so I took the spektrum Rx out of the Revo and dropped it into my Mayhem. The buggy was running awesome. I felt bad because Pat's engine was weak. I handed him the Tx and let him have at it while I tuned his engine. About 20 minutes of driving the Mayhem, Pat squeaked that he had lost control of it. He gained control for a couple seconds; then again it ran away at full throttle this time in the other direction towards the parked cars and people. He ran after it but wasn't going to catch it going 40 MPH! I yelled at the top of my lungs "RUN AWAY!" seconds before the buggy got on top of the people/cars. People dove out of the way! Good thing it didn't hit anyone of anybody's car. It did however smash squarely into the parking lot's curb, destroying the buggy.
In the rush to get the receiver from the Revo into the Mayhem, I forgot to set the 'fail-safe' to the Mayhem. When the receiver was in the buggy, the fail safe position for the Revo was FULL throttle on the Mayhem. Turns out, the Rx battery must have been bad because I charged it on the way to Berwyn. I just placed the order at Horizon for the parts I'm going to need. It came out to $197. I've learned my lesson

Ouch! I saw that curb impact. 40 to zero time was like .00001 second. And that buggy just stopped. No parts flying off. It was wicked. I'm glad no one was run down. I did see some close calls that day, but I think for the most part everyone avoided major collisions.

Anytime.
Ryan says "thanks" for letting him cheat at the drag races. He was taking off early! Sorry to anyone (everyone) he did this to. After all, he's only 12 and it was his first racing of any kind. He gets soooo excited.

Squirell took a Savage to the Stomach, and Firesprink caught an airborn Buggy in the leg, but the casualties were minor....
