Its cool to hear that you guys have some nice rides, we should all meet up some time at one of the hang out spots
Talkin specs......my SRT-4 did 422hp and 410ft lbs to the wheels on the dyno at AMS before my clutch started to slip,

what about your vw tex, that things gotta have some wicked power? subs and window tint, at U.T.I. that adds like 200 hp!! j/f/w/y we should bring these cars out i wanna see this srt-4. damn worked over neons but they are quick as hell! useless fact for you guys in 1998 the plymoth neon was the fastest 4-cyl in american production, 2.0 dohc, dynoed 150 hp to the front wheel. the car that holds the record for street legal hp at U.T.I. is a 98 neon has 900+hp.(i think thats still true)

well I'll post up my car too. Its a Pewter 01 Z28 camaro Automatic with the highway fantastic 2.73 rear.. lol. Performacne wise its got an air filter lid and used exhaust on it that costed $200 total. Dynoed at 306hp and 320 ft lbs at the wheels on a nice cool day in march and ran a best of 13.56 a couple weeks later at 41.
Stereo is a Pioneer HU.. I forget the model but its an older MP3 one with MB Quart 6 3/4" coaxials in the front doors.. but.. I ordered a hifonics Titan tx1505d amp which will be pushing a single 12" Audiomobil Mass 2000 and a Hifonics titan TX4005 100x2 to power the MB quart fronts. I'll be replacing the coaxials with some nice seperates eventually but I'm not sure what brand yet proabalby leaning towards Cliff designs or CDT. apearance wise I painted the stock wheels graphite with a silver lip, got a couple large driving lights lurking behind a billet grille and no rear emblems and v6 looking exhaust.
I might roll up to 75th depends on if I feel like taking a drive ro not.

Rich just sign up for chitownracing. The board is great and has a "Not Work Safe" forum that really is Anything goes **CoughPORNCough**.. Plus it has one wicked video section too and all the strreet racing Sh)t talk is a blast to read too. I forgot you have to be a member to view posts on that board.
I made it to 4 corners but took off right away. Xgf offered to buy me dinner and yeah it came down to free food and a piece of ass.. or hand out in the parking lot sausage fest. hmmm.. lol.

I wished I would have seen this before I went out tonight. I headed to Straats and ended up talking with this guy about what I can do with my GTI to keep it sleeper and make it quite quick. Now for the hard part... the money and properly shielding the work from my ASE Master Certified Mechanic father. This could be interesting...

Try to find a set of dumps for it! nice exhaust on the street but you get on a track and open them up it sounds better, flows better, and the best part no catalytic converter! still street/emissions legal!

Thats what I was thinking of doing actually. I want to start with that, intake port matching, exhaust port and polish, T4 turbo upgrade, intake, and a chip dyno tuned to the T4. Now for the money...

I'm going to gut my cats soon since one is going bad but I can cheat... on 99 and newer LS1's DTC's can be set not to report (throw and SES light) via a good laptop based tuning software. SO at the emesions test everything comes up fine. Thats how the Ls1's with huge cams and no cats pass emisions.

Kinda same for the mustangs. All you need is a resistor and a capacitor and you can build you own bypass circuit for the cats . No cats and still pass emissions

Years ago when I was single and I had my camaro I had straight pipe, I had the Cat hollowed out with no muffler . I had the resignator tips on it and I passed with no problems

I'm not going to worry about tricking the emissions tests. When I'm done I hope to have about 270 WHP while looking and sounding completely stock. Should be interesting. For normal driving exhaust will be routed through the stock exhaust... for racing... dump.

if your addig a bigger turbo and intake and all that other stuff, you will need a bigger exhaust!!! stock will not work, more air in=more air out! i'm not saying go 3 1/2in with a glass pack but a nice 2 in diameter mandrel bent pipe would work, good high flow muffler too. don't leaae the stock exhaust on there but don't get ridiculous!
