mayhems are great buggies to start out with. Durable and good on a track. I've never owned one but alot of guys here have so I'm sure you'll get some input

The one I had was very durable. I don't think I ever broke anything considering the multiple cartwheels I'd send it in while jumping.

Get the better engine mount though, the stock one never seemed to keep the mesh long.

The Mayhem is my favorite of all the buggies I've owned. You may want to get the big chassis stiffener braces, and if you have the new revision chassis, get the heavy duty engine mounts. Both of those parts reduce the small amount of chassis flex that is noticeable. Other than that, depending on how you drive, and if you're going to race it, get the steering Ackerman. It's a multiple position drag link for the steering system. You will have to remove a small amount of material from the front bulkhead in order to make it work smoothly, but it's worth the 10 minutes it'll take.

Recommended PN#s: Ackerman (SWK3276), Alum. servo mounts (SWK9016), Alum. diff cases (SWK9098), CF diff plate (SWK9102G), CF servo tray (SWK9122G), Alum. camber washers (SWK9138), CF Top plate (SWK9144G), HeavyDuty Stiffeners (SWK9158), Blue servo tray standoffs (SWK9165B), Ultra thin swaybar (SWK9182), Quad brake kit (SWK9194), Alum. bearing supports (SWK9099), and the Heavy Duty engine mounts (SWK9228).

The buggy is now more durable than I would have ever thought was possible, and it's nimble and fast on the tracks.

i would have to say that i wish that the mayhem was out when i bought my buggy b/c i would have bought it because of the mill in it and the durability of it. there were alot tof them at leisure when the old track was open.

Apparently, the Mayhem was tested and developed at Leisure Hours among other tracks...

I never did understand, was Sportwerks first a company of its own or did Horizon create the brand also? Also, does Werks have anything to do with Sportwerks?

Here's a really good forum for Mayhem's. John Adams from Horizon has posted a ton within the thread:

i got a question if i wanted to "truggy" my buggy could i do this kinda by just putting on bigger tires and rims i kno what i could do but do u thni ki could just put like bigger tires on it and have more liek a revo style truck. also wut would i want to upgrade or do to make it a good truggy. i kno u have to use bigger shocks but could i just put bigger shocks on or would i have to get differnt a-arms and cvds and stuff.

Thanks
Jhon

i got a really good deal for some stock revo rims and tires is there a semi cheap way to make these fit or mightthey fit just straight on?

the revo wheels won't fit your buggy. the hex drive is 14mm (buggy is 17mm) and the offset is opposite of what a buggy needs. Your gearing will be way off if you get MT tires. If you want more of a monster attitude with your buggy then the Panther Komoto Dragon LP's are ok for that application, and you don't have to change your gearing.

I think SixVi6Camaro has some for sale, you should PM him and ask.
