I vented on the center of the tread in 2 spots, I may try the sidewall in the future. Sounds like a good idea, although the vented tread seems to work fine. Where in the sidewall do you put the hole exactly? Tread side, or bead side? centered?

Tex, I vented the tread face in 2 spots 180* apart. I'm going to plug the rim vents with silicone and see what happens. I figure what gets in the tread vents will be closest to the exit vents, so it may work out fine. I made a punch out of a small brass tube (about 2mm, about the same as the Proline holes in the rims) that I filed to have a sharp edge. It punched out the holes very nicely.

i only do 2 holes in the middle of the tire opposite of each other

I ended up stuffing the whole RE foam in and it worked out good
